Incirlik Air force Base – “The Fig Tree Grove”

A message presented by: Pastor Carolyn Sissom

July 18, 2016

On July 18, 2012, I received a message from the Lord in a dream.  I saw a map of the nation of Turkey and heard, “They will invade the borders of Turkey.”  I saw soldiers and machinery of war.  Then I saw written out in the dream, “Carolyn preach on the Lors.”

This past week in the midst of our grief over the police shootings in our nation, there was an ISIS attack on France and a coup to overthrow the government of Turkey.

We have two air force bases in Turkey.  Incirlik is near the Syrian border and is used by our Air Force to bomb ISIS in Syria and Iraq.  Incirlik means “fig tree grove.”

On July 16, 2016, the Turkey government shut down our Air force base for 24 hours by cutting off the power to the base.  (This is an act of war.)   The base has now resumed operations.  However, yesterday the Turks arrested the top military officials at our airbase.  With the limited information I have, it appears these officials may be Turks, but nevertheless it is our airbase and these would be under the authority of the United States Government.

On July 20, 2012, the Shia-Syrian rebels secured the Syria/Turkey borders.  The war in Syria was  taken to the borders of Turkey.

Coincidentally, I preached on “The Fig Tree” on July 8, 2012.  Every year at the time of ripe figs, the Lord gives me a message on the figs.  Just so you know, this has never been pre-meditated.  The message comes.  Please note the name of this posting and the date in 2012 when I received the message from the Lord about Turkey: July 18th.

The particular message of “The Fig Tree”  on July 8, 2012 primarily focused on God’s covenantal blessing, prosperity and security for His covenant people using the metaphor of the fig tree.  The fig tree is symbolic of the restored church with redeemed Israel.

However, the fig tree is also used figuratively of the end-times in Isaiah 34; Mt. 24:32 and Rev. 6:13:

Isaiah 34: 1-10:  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, you people; let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it…for the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies…(Vs. 4) All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and  the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

(This could possibly be figurative of air planes, drones and missiles coming out of the sky from “The Fig Tree” airbase in Turkey.)

(Vs.8)  “For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.  It shall not be quenched night or day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever; from generation to generation it shall lay waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.”

This scripture like Isaiah 61 describes the Day of Jehovah’s vengeance, and the year of Jubilee!!!!

Matthew 24: 31-33:  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near; so likewise you, when you shall see all these things,  know that it is near, even at the door.”

Revelation 6:12-13:  “When he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake (Gk. seismos)…And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.”

There was a second part of the dream, “Carolyn teach on the Lors.”

Lors is a French word that means, “at the time of.”

In 2012, I did some research since I had “no clue” how to teach on the “Lors”.

At the time I connected it to the Lors/Lurs in Iran.  This is a Persian tribal group living mainly in south-western Iran.  Their population is estimated about four million.  This is in the province of Bushehr, the site of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant being built in co-operation with Russia.  (See sermon notes Elam- Iran – The Lors 7/22/12).

I am now considering a connection between the French speaking Muslims who have been part of the ISIS attacks on France to be the “Lors”; yet not excluding the Lurs/Lors of Iran.

I have a concern that our State Department under John Kerry and the Obama Administration are connected with the Coup in Turkey.  I know Obama is saying he is standing with the President of Turkey, yet he did not make that statement until it was obvious President Erdogan and his administration had overethrown the coup.

The chief opponent to President Erdogan’s government is Fethullah Gulen, who is in self-imposed exile in the United States and lives in Pennsylvania.

It is possible this is another failed attempt of the United States participating in the overthrow of thrones much like we did in Egypt and Libya.

What does all this mean?  I do not know!  I present to you a message as it was given to me.

We see through a glass darkly…we know in part.” (1 Co. 13:12)

    H Bombs at Incirlik!

    H Bombs at Incirlik!

    Editor's note:

While many of us are busy, watching the Republican Convention this week, as His watchmen on the wall, we need to keep our eyes on events overseas, as well.

Incirlik is the American air base located inside Turkey. In the current tension, this base has suddenly become a "hot spot" and one which needs our prayers. During the recent coup attempt, for example, Incirlik was without power, and we are getting mixed reports as of today whether that power has been restored.

Turkey is blaming Obama for this coup attempt, so we invite you to please pray over the report below, from the The New Yorker magazine. Thank you.

The H-Bombs in Turkey - The New Yorker

Among the many questions still unanswered following Friday's coup attempt in Turkey is one that has national-security implications for the United States and for the rest of the world: How secure are the American hydrogen bombs stored at a Turkish airbase?

The Incirlik Airbase, in southeast Turkey, houses NATO's largest nuclear-weapons storage facility. On Saturday morning, the American Embassy in Ankara issued an "Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens," warning that power had been cut to Incirlik and that "local authorities are denying movements on to and off of" the base. Incirlik was forced to rely on backup generators; U.S. Air Force planes stationed there were prohibited from taking off or landing; and the security-threat level was raised to FPCON Delta, the highest state of alert, declared when a terrorist attack has occurred or may be imminent. On Sunday, the base commander, General Bekir Ercan Van, and nine other Turkish officers at Incirlik were detained for allegedly supporting the coup. As of this writing, American flights have resumed at the base, but the power is still cut off.

According to Hans M. Kristensen, the director of the Nuclear Information Project at the Federation of American Scientists, underground vaults at Incirlik hold about fifty B-61 hydrogen bombs-more than twenty-five per cent of the nuclear weapons in the NATO stockpile. The nuclear yield of the B-61 can be adjusted to suit a particular mission. The bomb that destroyed Hiroshima had an explosive force equivalent to about fifteen kilotons of TNT. In comparison, the "dial-a-yield" of the B-61 bombs at Incirlik can be adjusted from 0.3 kilotons to as many as a hundred and seventy kilotons.

. . . With a few hours and the right tools and training, you could open one of NATO's nuclear-weapons storage vaults, remove a weapon, and bypass the PAL inside it. Within seconds, you could place an explosive device on top of a storage vault, destroy the weapon, and release a lethal radioactive cloud. NATO's hydrogen bombs are still guarded by the troops of their host countries. In 2010, peace activists climbed over a fence at the Kleine Brogel Airbase, in Belgium, cut through a second fence, entered a hardened shelter containing nuclear-weapons vaults, placed anti-nuclear stickers on the walls, wandered the base for an hour, and posted a video of the intrusion on YouTube. The video showed that the Belgian soldier who finally confronted them was carrying an unloaded rifle.

Security concerns at Incirlik Airbase recently prompted a major upgrade of the perimeter fence that surrounds its nuclear-weapons storage area. Incirlik is about seventy miles from the Syrian border, and since October American aircraft and drones based there have been attacking ISIS forces. Its proximity to rebel-controlled areas in Syria and the rash of terrorist acts in Turkey led the Pentagon, a few months ago, to issue an "ordered departure" of all the family members of American troops at Incirlik. They were asked to leave immediately. About two thousand U.S. military personnel remain stationed there. Although Incirlik probably has more nuclear weapons than any other NATO base, it does not have any American or Turkish aircraft equipped to deliver them. The bombs simply sit at the base, underground, waiting to be used or misused. Read more here.

    - Father, we thank You that, at times, we are able to join forces in prayers of agreement, serving You as the army of God. We take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and we decree all of Psalm 91 over this air base in Turkey. Thank You, Lord, for sending Your own warring angels to stand guard over this site, for You are an awesome God. We praise You, Lord Jesus, in Your name, amen.
