RESURRECTION SUNDAY

THE ROD OF CHRIST’S GOVERNMENT

April 12, 2020

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

When Jesus Christ rose triumphant on the Third Day, He is triumphant over death, hell, the grave, all future wars, plagues, and disasters which come upon the earth.  He arose triumphant over the armies of Satan.  He stands as Commander and Chief of the Host of heaven (armies of heaven).  He owns the rod of the government of the Kingdom of God.   With him are His armies and His people on earth and in Heaven.

Rev 17:14These (kings of the earth) shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Psa. 2:7-8: I will declare the decree:
The L
ORD has said to Me,
‘You
are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.

Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations
for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth
for Your possession.

You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel
.’

I am persuaded this Passover week April 8-16th, God has moved sovereignly in the earth to give the Lamb of God His inheritance of the nations.  I spoke last week and speak again that we (the church with the armies of Heaven) have moved from where we were in God’s Kingdom to never return again.  This Passover and celebration of the reign of Christ Jesus will constitute a “crossing over” of the ages and there will be no going back.

The rod of iron (2:8) is God’s rod of authority of Kingdom government.  In Exodus 7: 9-13, God’s rod (authority) swallowed up the rods of the governmental magicians.  The magicians duplicated the first three judgments, but could not reverse the condition (but rather created more death).  The spirit of the governmental magicians speaks multiplication of death.

Psa. 2: 10-12:  Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

Serve the LORD with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish
in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed
are all those who put their trust in Him.

Exo 12:41 - And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years—on that very same day—it came to pass that all the armies of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

The armies of the Lord are the Host of Heaven.  Johnnie Enlow gave a prophecy on April 8, 2020:

Two Huge Kingdom Actions of This 2020 Passover That Will change Life Forever:

1.       Demonic Principalities get judged (Exodus 12:12) and Controlling Principalities get judged.

2.      Army Angels of God leave where we have been (Exodus 12:41).

On the first Passover, God judged the gods of Egypt with each of the ten plagues. (See teaching on “Ten Plagues Judging the gods of Egypt.”)   I believe through the Corona-virus Plague judgement, we will see ruling principalities of hundreds of years struck down by God.  I believe this plague is a judgment for abortion as well as it will bring justice to the frogs coming out of the mouth of the beast (world system), mouth of the dragon (Satan) and mouth of the false prophet.  I believe we will see judgment on the religious system which is called His Church.  We will be judged by our heart relationship with Jesus Christ.  As Christians, we must repent of all sin known and unknown for any alignment or agreement with evil ruling principalities.  We must guard our tongue to only speak what God speaks.

“When the armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt, God left Egypt.  The angels no longer had any assignments in Egypt.  If any Israelite stayed back or, God forbid headed back without seeing the Red Sea ---there would now be no protection or covering for them” (Johnny Enlow).

This is God’s time.  This is the Lamb’s time.  This is now the Lamb’s Agenda of nations.  His inheritance is where the angel armies have moved.  The Lamb has a Kingdom government agenda to execute.

Rev.19: 11-12: I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.

I saw heaven standing open… Chapter 1 promised He would return and every eye would see Him.  He is seated on a white horse--- a symbol of victory of a conquering king…whose rider is called Faithful and True.  This horseman is different from the first horseman of chapter 6.  He is the conquering Messiah, the faithful and true witness of 3:14.  With justice he judges and makes war.  The theme of the holy war of the end-time already announced in 16:14 & 17:14 reoccurs frequently.   His eyes are like blazing fire on his head are many crowns.  More than the dragon’s seven crown of 12:3 or the imperial beast’s ten crowns in 13:1.

He has a name written on him that no one knows but He Himself.  Here the mystery of the person of Christ is suggested.  This name is apparently neither of the revealed names of verses 13. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood.  The picture is drawn from Isa. 63: 1-3, there the conqueror’s crimsoned garments are dyed with the blood of his foes.

11:13: He was clothed with vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.  This is in agreement with John’s gospel (Jn. 1: 1-14) and identifies Christ as the Creator of the world.  As the Creator of the world and everything in it, He has the power, the right and authority over the whole world.

11: 14-15:  The armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses; clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations; and He shall rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

The armies of heaven are the called, chosen and faithful of 17:14.  They are dressed in fine linen, white and clean –they share the victory of Jesus. The sword symbolizes the irresistible power of His word of judgment and grace.  He will rule them with an iron scepter.

Rev. 19: 16: He has on His vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  This name of universal dominion aligns with Deut. 10:17: For the Lord your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.

Resurrection Sunday was the coronation of King Jesus.  On the cross, Jesus was crowned by mother earth with a crown of thorns.  He earned the crown of power by wearing on His brow the crown of thorns.  He earned the crown of oil, because He loved righteousness and hated iniquity.   He received the scepter of righteousness because He took from the Roman soldier the flimsy reed that was placed in His hand, and suffered the ignominy of a mock coronation.  All this became the first chapter in His coronation as King.

The second chapter took place at His ascension.  It was there that God “set” His King on Zion, and made him to be KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.  He is seated as our King/Priest on the throne.

We are blessed to “fear not.”  We will ride with Him.  We are to rule and reign with Him.  We are seated with Him.

“The plague/virus/death must be shattered and we must ride with the rod of authority that He has given each of us and join with what the Commander of the Hosts of Heaven is doing” (Johnny Enlow).

I had a vision of a man-child being born in 1989.  I saw in the clouds a man with an iron suit holding the rod of iron.

Rev. 12:5:  And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

The man child is, of course, the birth of Jesus, but it is also the birth of the Overcomers.

Eph. 4:13:  Till we come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”    Christ in us the Hope of Glory.  This is the revelation of Jesus Christ in each of us.

Psalms 2:9:  You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”   This identifies the man in the iron suit with the Davidic Messiah.  The overcoming confessor of Revelation 2 has already been applied to Him.  But is applicable to the Overcomer only by virtue of his association with the Messiah.

I believe this imagery not only represents the birth and ascension of Christ, the anointed one, but inclusive of the remnant of the true Israel or the Overcoming, Triumphant Church of the First Born.

Each time there is a move of God we experience a birthing of the anointing through God’s elect to bring forth the destiny of the Kingdom purposes of God in His time.

I believed God has moved!  I pray to move with Him because there is nothing behind me that I want to take with me except my loved ones.

The tenth and final judgment of the first Passover took place at midnight, which speaks of the overlap of two ages.   When Jesus was crucified on His Cross and rose from the Dead, we crossed over to a new age.  I believe we are at another cross-over.  I do not know what it will look like, but I know it will be good.
