The Valley of the Son of Hinnom

This past week, Dutch Sheets posted a word that Baal is the ruling spirit over America.  I would say that means the Americas.

“The spirit of Baal is the spirit/principality over America.  Principalities in Satan’s kingdom are assigned to regions.  When a person or people (nation): give place to” the devil (Ephesians 4:27) through perversion, shedding innocent blood, idolatry, covenant breaking, and other sins, Satan has a legal right to rule and control them until the sin is cleansed.  The word place in this verse is topos, from which we get topography.  It literally means a location, as in a piece of land.  It is also a scabbard, a place to hang a sword.  Figuratively it means “opportunity.”  This verse is telling us sin gives ground to Satan, a place for his sword, a legal opportunity to steal, kill, and destroy.  That has happened in America.  Through out sins, we have given place to the devil and his demons.  Baal is the principality in charge of overseeing this authority.  Baal is identified as the ruler of the demons,” (Mt. 12:24; Beelzebub is another name for Baal).  The name Baal means “lord, master, or owner.”  As with most of what Satan does, taking this name is an attempt to usurp and replace God.”

Monday morning while reading this chapter, verse 35 was quickened to me by the Holy Spirit.  You may remember one Sunday in March at the Cinco Ranch Golf Club, I read the lyrics to “Seven Spanish Angels” and a spirit of weeping fell on me.  I was puzzled that the song was so anointed when it is secular and a ballad about an outlaw and his lover being caught on the Texas border.  After the spirit of weeping fell on me, I was even more puzzled, but was quickened by the Spirit that the song was prophetic of what is happening at the Texas border and the Holy Spirit is grieved.

The LORD still requires His prophets to be willing to be used by Him even to making us look foolish and always to be willing to become of no reputation.

32:35:  They built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

Our southern border has become an altar of Baal, in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom.  Children, sons and daughters are being sacrificed for money as they are being abandoned and left on the border, used as decoys for drug trafficking, sex trafficking and human smuggling.  Children are being abused sexually and left to die on our southern border with no law authority in America to arrest and punish the evil.

"He looked down into her brown eyes (Hispanic race)

And said, “Say a prayer for me.” (lost humanity)

She threw her arms around him,

Whispered, “God will keep us free.” (Redemption)

There were seven Spanish angels (God's angels) at the altar of the Son (Son of Hinnom)

They were praying for the lovers in the valley of the gun.

When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared,

There was thunder from the throne (God's judgment).

And seven Spanish angels took another angel home.”

(Writers T. Seals, E. Setser)

In the song, there is judgment from the throne of God.  Angels are on the border warring for these children who are abandoned and left to die.  In the ballad, Texans are the law enforcers, but justice brings death.

Texas it is a serious matter of how we handle all of this evil that is happening at our border.

You may judge me for this interpretation of the song.  It may appear to be a stretch. You have judged me before. I may be wrong, but I have passed this way before.   I am still smiling and preaching.

God took His own actions: Fire on the roofs where the Baal sacrifices were made; burning residences; removal of the city of Jerusalem from the sight of God.  The people removed from the city by means of sword, pestilence and family.  All levels of society are taken down.

Jeremiah Standing Alone

Jeremiah was imprisoned by King Zedekiah during the siege of Jerusalem because of his message. One may lock up the prophet, but cannot shut up the prophecy.   He was arrested when trying to go through the ring of enemy posts which hemmed in the city.  This was his lot for predicting the siege and defeat of the city (32:1-5). Jerusalem has been under siege one year.  This is the year before Jerusalem fell. (587 B.C., the 10th year of Zedekiah).  The burning of the city and the desolation of Judah was inside the city.

32:1-3 NKJV:  The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah, king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.  For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah’s house. For Zedekiah, king of Judah had shut him up saying, “Why do you prophesy and say, “thus says the Lord; behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

Zedekiah clearly wanted the prophet to change his message to fit Zedekiah’s thinking, but the integrity of the true prophet would never allow that to happen.  The nations of the world are in judgment, a true prophet has to preach what God is doing:  Afghanistan, pray for God’s hand of protection and provision for the citizens, pray against terrorism, murder and violence.  Africa, famine, killing and persecution of Christians; Burma, military took over the government; Canada, China, India, Iran, Lebanon, etc. etc.

Jeremiah was standing alone.  His words were counter to every prophetic word being spoken by the false prophets in the kingdom.  Truth is like that.  It is uncompromised and stands alone.  O’ that we should hear such words today!

32:4-5:  Zedekiah, king of Judah shall not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face, and see him eye to eye.  Then he (Nebuchadnezzar) shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall be until I visit him, says the LORD; though you fight with the Chaldeans you shall not succeed.

Since a prophet must believe and relay on the word of the LORD, God answered Zedekiah’s inquiry by an act of faith on Jeremiah’s part.  God cause his servant to invest in real estate.  (The facts reveal a battle was raging over the land at the exact moment his offer came.  Jeremiah’s own relative would not redeem it.)  Having faith in God’s word, Jeremiah purchased the land during a time of national calamity; in which his own prophetic word declared victory for the enemy.)

 Deed of Purchase

32:6-8:  The Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah and instructed him saying, buy my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.  So, Hanameel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the Lord, and said unto me, buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.  Then I knew this was the word of the Lord.

ETERNAL COVENANT

Amid the gloom and despair of this hour, Jeremiah was commanded of God to buy a field in a public ceremony with witnesses and to put away the deed for safe keeping.  Again, the Lord asks Jeremiah to do that which puts at risk his credibility.   The covenant the Lord made with Jehovah was an eternal covenant.

32:40: “I will make an everlasting covenant with themthat I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.”

There are five (5) eternal covenants in the Old Testament which the Lord initiated with man.

1.    Noah:  Genesis 9:8

2.    Abraham: Genesis 17:3

3.    Davidic 11 Samuel 7:13

4.    Jeremiah 32: 37-44

5.    Ezekiel 37: 24

In the natural, the circumstances seemed impossible of fulfillment.  The prophet prayed because he could not reconcile the implication of the buying of the field with his other prediction of the captivity.

This divine action required an act of Faith by Jeremiah.  Faith is what would be required to activate and receive the miracle for the generations who would receive the blessing of the covenant.  By action faith, Jeremiah purchased the field.

2: 9-15: I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.  And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.  So, I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom and that which was open: and I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.  And I charged Baruch before them, saying, thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days, for thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

Jeremiah trusted the prophetic word over the objections of human reason.  This must be the case for every end-time believer.  God was insuring their return from Babylon.  Even the modern rise of the nation Israel, from 1948 to the present preparing for a greater day yet to come.

Seventeen shekels of silver = (17) the number of perfection of spiritual order.  Interesting that beginning with verse seventeen (17) the writer of the Holy Writ declares a 13-fold greatness of God.

The Lord’s promise to Jeremiah was that He would restore all to Israel inclusive of 22 blessings of happiness, prosperity, health, salvation, deliverance, restoration, redemption, peace, joy, love and blessedness. etc.

32:17: Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD saying: Ah, LORD GOD!  Behold, you have made the Heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm.  There is nothing too hard for you.

Reference to the Creation while approaching God is very significant.  In creation, the Almighty invested Himself and all his plans before the foundation of the world.

This is a word for our nation at this time.  It seems that for the next 18 months there is nothing we can do to stop the spirit of Nebuchadnezzar in the Democrat party from destroying this nation, but Nothing is too hard for My God and He will redeem this nation to our kingdom destiny.

Verses 17-23, Jeremiah declares a 13-fold greatness of God:

1.    You have made heaven and earth by your great power and your outstretched arm.

2.    There is nothing too hard for you.

3.    You show loving kindness to thousands.

4.    God is Great

5.    He is a Mighty God.

6.    The Lord of Hosts is His Name

7.    Great in counsel

8.    Mighty in Work.

9.    Your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doing.

10. He has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and in Israel, and among other men, as it is this day.

11. He has made a name for Himself.

12. He has brought forth His people out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders with a strong hand with His out stretched arms and with great terror.

13. He has given them this land, which He did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.

The song rightly says, “You are great, you do miracles so great; there is no one else like You!”

As a land owner, Jeremiah had the spiritual rights over that land to confess and cleanse it.

The city was given in the hand of the Chaldeans.  They ride in on swift mounts. “They have come into the city to take it.”

 Jeremiah is questioning the Lord.

=32:24-25: Look the siege mounds!  They have come to the city to take it; and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, famine and pestilence. What you have spoken has come to passand I know you see it.  O Lord God, you said for me to buy the field for money, and take witnesses.  Now the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

This is faith applied!  He now owns a stake in the promised return!  The LORD joined into Jeremiah perplexity with humor.  He told Jeremiah virtually that “Jeremiah didn’t know half of how ridiculous it was for him to buy land at that time.”  Had Judah listened and followed the will of God, they too would have found themselves doing ridiculous things in the face of the enemy, but in doing so they would have found deliverance.

32:26-34: Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?  Therefore, thus says the Lord; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and he shall take it. The Chaldeans who fight against this city shall come and set fire to this city and burn it, with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

In verses 30-34, Jeremiah again lists all the sins of Israel that got them in this place of having their nation destroyed.

Verses 37-44 is the Eternal Covenant the Lord made with Jeremiah because of His faithfulness and his faith to obey him.

"Behold I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:  And they shall be my people and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them and of their children after them.  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.  Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.  For thus says the Lord, Like as I have brought all this great evil upon his people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.  And fields shall be bought in this and, whereof you say, it is given into the hand of theChaldeans.

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south; for I will cause their captivity to return says the Lord.

The covenant continues in chapter 33 and is the message of the Branch of Righteousness.  This is a teaching unto itself and I will teach this in two weeks. The Lord gave me a vision of the Branch of the Lord in 1989.  I have shared it in the past with this church.

33:15:  In those days and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he will execute judgment and righteousness in the land.  In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.

This is the great prophecy of the Davidic Kingdom fulfilled in Jesus Christ and the grafted branch of the gospel church.  We are branches which are an extension of him. (Jn. 15:1-5) The David Covenant has to do with ruler ship, government and the throne of God which is the authority of God invested in the name or the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ.

These are chapters of God’s unbreakable promise.  After the purchase of the field by faith, Chapter 33 is a song of the ultimate restoration.  The song first celebrates the restoration of the people and the cities.  Zion will once again become the center of family life, and of joy, and prosperity.  The establishment of the restored order is to be associated with the one who is described as the Branch of Righteousness.  In him are the two offices of King and Priest united.  God then says that His promise is not only sure but also gracious.

All the fullness of this eternal covenant is not only for restored Israel when they receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, but it is also for the Gospel Church.

This blessing comes to us through the Cross of Jesus, our Righteousness.

Today, if you would like to participate in a prophetic act to claim the redemption of all of your blessings and your inheritance, I have a Deed of Purchase which you can sign as an act of Faith and claim your inheritance.

The cost is $17.00 which is the number for victory.  As most of you know, I am not after your $17.00; I want your Faith to redeem in full victory all the Lord has promised you through the Blood of Jesus, His righteous branch.
