Chapter 47 is the prophecy against Philistia or the Gaza area.

Chapter 48 we can decree against the Democrat Party’s platform of abortion.

There is a divine order to the prophecies over these nations from 46-49.

The words of this prophecy are valid this very hour!

The Gaza area even today is under judgment, and those who occupy it are the recipients of more than they bargained.  No help shall come to them.  Seeking to raise up a separate Islamic state will not prosper, and it is in conflict with:

Jeremiah 2:7:  The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah.

Even the slightest study of the region brings to mind Samson and the repeated assault of this region against the nation of Israel.  The question is how long will this judgment remain on that land?  The answer is simple:

Jeremiah 47: 1-3:  The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before Pharaoh attacked Gaza. Thus says the LORD:  Behold, waters rise out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood; they shall overflow the land and all that is in it, the city and those who dwell within.  Then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.  At the noise of the stamping hooves of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers will not look back for their children, lacking courage.

God has a special time – a Kairos time – appointed by God for His intervention in human history.  The enemy has the same spiritual strategy today that he had when Jeremiah prophesied the Lord’s judgments against the nations.

The façade of corrupt governing systems and religious hypocrisy of our day are now being exposed.  The same evil powers and principalities that were over the nations of the world at the time of this judgment are at work today to stop the coming of God’s glorious end-time Harvest.

The image of an oncoming flood from the north describes Nebuchadnezzar’s armies, with rumbling chariots and galloping horses.  The earth will thunder with the sound of the pounding hoofs and whirling wheels.  Nebuchadnezzar attacked before Pharaoh attacked.

47: 4-5:  Because of the day that comes to plunder all the philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper who remains; for the LORD shall plunder the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.  Blindness has come upon Gaza.  Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley.  How long will you cut yourself?

In David’s day, these were Israel’s perpetual enemies.  They speak of the earthy, carnal mind those who wallow in the same.  Their champion was Goliath, a type of Satan.

The Philistines were Indo-European sea people from Crete (Caphtor) (Amos 9:7).  The main wave of them settling in southwest Palestine. Tyre and Sidon apparently had an alliance with them and would be cut off.  In mourning, they will shave their heads and cut themselves.  The prophet asks, “How long will you cut yourself?
Great mourning will result from this devastating loss of human life.

The other prophets who spoke regarding Philistia were Isaiah, Amos, Ezekiel, Zephaniah and Zechariah.

47: 6-7: “O sword of the Lord, how long will it be that you are quiet?  Put up your scabbard, rest and be still.  How can it be quiet, seeing the Lord has given it a charge against Ashkelon (now southern Israel), and against the sea shore?  There has he appointed it”

The focus is not on Pharoah, but on Nebuchadnezzar and the sword of the LORD.  Last week, 46:10 declared the sword of the LORD OF HOSTS had been drawn from its sheathe.  I have been decreeing at Prayer Net, at the Tribunal on Saturday and then again last night on Sara Ballenger’s Monday night prayer.

Jer. 46:10: For this is the day of the LORD GOD of Hosts, a day of vengeance, that He may avenge Himself on His adversaries.  The sword shall devour.  It shall be satiated and made drunk with their blood.

“I SAW THE SWORD IN THE HAND OF DONALD J. TRUMP AT THE RALLY IN IOWA.  He brought down on the neck of the Biden Regime, the Republican party and China the anointed sword of the LORD GOD OF HOSTS.  The Lord is raising up a sword company of overcomers.  The sword is a person.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  Ez. 21:27: I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it and it shall be no more until He comes who’s right it is; and I will give it to Him.”

In each of these chapters dealing with the nations, we see that Nebuchadnezzar is coming.  Nebuchadnezzar was a chosen vessel of the Lord to bring his judgment on the nations.  He came in the power, might and smite of the Lord.  One of the Lord’s judgments is His Smite.

CHAPTER 48 is the Prophecy Against MOAB.

We can decree this entire chapter against the spirit behind abortion and the law suit filed yesterday at the Supreme Court by the Biden Administration to put a hold on the Texas heart-beat bill.  48:16: The calamity of Moab is near at hand.  His affliction comes quickly, and all those who are in agreement with him.

Moab was the incestuous son of Lot, seed of the father, water of the water, flowing from the father. They were a kindred nation (half-brothers to Israel).   Moab speaks of the principle of laziness and idleness and reveals those who will not change or grow.

Each of the nations addressed by God surrounds the land of Israel.  Psalm 83 is an end-time war of a 10-nation confederacy against Israel with Gog and Magog added to the number 9.

48: 1-4:  Against Moab, thus say the LORD OF HOSTS, the God of Israel:  Woe to Nebo! For it is plundered, Kirja Haim is shamed and taken.  The high stronghold is shamed and dismayed.  No more praise of Moab.  In Heshbon, the have devised evil against her.  Come, and let us cut her off as a nation.  You also shall be cut down, O Madmen!  The sword shall pursue you.  A voce of crying shall be from Huronia; plundering and great destruction!  Moab is destroyed.  Her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

Nebo was the god of education.  He may be the god over Critical Race Theory.

The Lord of Hosts as we know is God’s identity over Heaven’s angel armies, but 45 times in Jeremiah, Yahweh is identified as the God of Israel. Here in an oracle against a foreign nation and its gods, this designation is especially significant.  Israel’s God is the God of all the earth, and so he not only has the right and the power to pronounce judgment on his own people, but he can also pronounce and execute judgment on the surrounding peoples.

The little ones have caused a cry to be heard is child sacrifice.

48: 5-6:  For as the Ascent of Luhith, they ascend with continual weeping; for in the descent of Huronia, the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.  Flee, save your lives!  And be like the juniper in the wilderness.

The Word of the Lord is telling them to flee and get as far away as they can, even like a bush in the desert.

The LORD now tells them why they are being judged.  They trust in carnal security.

48:7-9: Because you have trusted in your works and your treasures, you also shall be taken.  Chemosh (god of Moab) shall go forth into captivity.  His priests and his princes together. The plunderer shall come against every city.  No one shall escape.  The valley also shall perish.  The plain shall be destroyed.  As the LORD has spoken.  Give wings to Moab, that she may flee and get away.  For her cities, shall be desolate, without any to dwell in them.

Chemosh= Saturn (evil, dark star).” – “subduer, vanquisher, depressor, incubus”.   Chemosh was the national deity.

The Destroyer in Nebuchadnezzar lays waste to property and the people.  Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy.  Nebuchadnezzar was given over to the destroyer to bring judgment on the nations.

Next is a short line that must be considered in light of the modern church and the work of ministry today.  There is a great curse upon those who devise and carry out or support such deceit.

48:10:  Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD deceitfully. Cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.

48: 11-13: Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity; therefore, his taste remained to him nor his scent has not changed. Behold the days comes says the Lord, that I will send unto him wanderers that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.  And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.

Father Adam is the source of the Moabite nature.  We can compare the Philistine nature, which from the Hebrew also means “rolling about, transition, migration, emigration, wandering, deviating from a true course, rejected, and infidel.” (Illegal immigration, going off-course, backsliders, etc.)

The KING OF KINGS, THE LORD OF HOSTS, THE GOD OF ISRAEL has come to deal with those who will not change!

48: 14-17:  How can you say, “We are mighty and strong me for the war”?  Moab is plundered and gone up from her cities.  Her chosen young men have gone down to the slaughter, says the KING, whose name is the LORD OF HOSTS.  The calamity of Moab is near at hand.  His affliction comes quickly.  Bemoan him, all you who are around him.  All you who know his name.  Say, How the strong staff is broken, the beautiful rod.!”

Although protected because of her isolation from main trade or invasion routes, Moab would not escape.

It is the pride-filled Centro-centric nation which asserts itself against God, which garners God’s wrath.  That nation shall perish.

What destroyed Moab will destroy any nation. What destroyed Egypt will destroy others.  She was to reap the harvest that she had sown.

48:26:  Make him drunk, because he exalted himself against the LORD.  Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he shall also be in derision

Moab enjoyed the vices and luxuries that result from unbroken prosperity, and proudly looked upon her afflicted neighbors in boastful mockery.  Like wine settled on the lees, she was at ease in her seeming security and conceited complacency, trusting in Chemosh and despising God.  Moab’s national offensive flavor remained unchanged because she had not been refined or purified by national calamities, which, however, were sure to come by means of the Chaldean “wanderers.”  The description here is the purification of wine to become sweeter and clearer!  The word “salvation” has been misunderstood:  we have been saved, are being saved, and shall be saved (2 Cor. 1:10).  Man’s Spirit, Soul and Body is included in Jesus’ redemption (1 Thess. 5:12).  Our spirit has been resurrected and translated from death to life (Jn. 5:24; Col. 5:23).  Our soul is being transformed, changed and renewed progressively.  In other words, we are being poured from vessel to vessel.

God has blown us out of our comfort zone by showing us that there is more than Passover and Pentecost.  Like a perpetual drink offering, He is commanding us to empty ourselves, (Phil 2: 1-11) and to pour out and lay down our lives.  The principle of the Day of Atonement.  He is sending His apostolic ministry into the country of idleness.  Like their Master, these will cleanse the temple and will tip every table!

48L47:  Yet, I will bring back the captives of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD.

After terrible devastation, Moab would be restored.

Jeremiah mourned for Moab.

Much was spoken against Moab, however, that is permanent.

They were completely destroyed, only rubble can be found of their ancient kingdom.  The deliberately led the people of God into sin and worship in Israel.  The priests of Chemosh offered human blood sacrifices.  Their hatred for Israel, and God, extended throughout their history.  Since Chemosh was their sun god, the LORD told them the fire they worshipped would fall on them.

2 Kings 3:26-27:  When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords, to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not.  Then he took his eldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering upon the wall; and there was great indignation against Israel.  So, they departed from him and returned to their own land.

Jer. 48:44:  He who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit.  He who gets out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For upon Moab, upon it I will bring the year of their punishment, says the LORD.

The year of their punishment will be carried out against any nation that follow the lead of Moab.
