THE ALMOND ROD

THE ALMOND ROD

Sunday, July 29, 2018, the Year of our Lord

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

Sunday evening after the conference, Roger Teale was speaking to me at the table.  He said, “The LORD is going to give you more insight into the vision you had” (The Scepter of the King vision).  At a prayer meeting in Houston on Friday, the LORD dropped in my Spirit the authority of the Almond rod seen in Jeremiah’s vision 1: 10-12.

The rod of iron/scepter of the Overcomer is the authority over nations.

We are watching the operation of the scepter of authority in the hand of Donald J. Trump.  That the remains of our servicemen from the Korean war have been sent home is a miracle of God as He moves on the nations.  Only God could have done this. When the Lord summons the nations shall obey; those whom He calls shall come. The commanders of the troops of the several nations shall take their post in the plan and purpose of God for this hour.

It is the same with the LORD.  Will you arise and apprehend this authority over the spirit of Jezebel over this nation, the nations of the earth, and in the churches?

The reward of the Overcomers of the Church of Thyatira after they overcame Jezebel is hold fast till I come. He that overcomes and keeps my works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron (Rhabdos – Royal Scepter, Staff), as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of My Father and I will give him the morning star.

In Jeremiah Chapter 1, The Lord gave to Jeremiah the divine enablement of authority over nations:

Jeremiah 1: 9b-10:  Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.  See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant.

He must attempt to reform the nations, to root out, and destroy idolatry and other wickedness among them, vicious habits and customs which had long taken root.  He is to throw down the kingdom of sin that Godliness and virtue might be built and planted among them.  He must set before them life and death, good and evil.  He must prophesy to those who persist in their wickedness that they will be rooted out and destroyed.  Those who repent will be built and planted.

God gave Jeremiah a vision of his assignment.  Jeremiah what do you see?  He said, I see a rod of an Almond tree.  The rod of the Almond tree was the authority of the Levitical Priesthood given to Aaron.  This authority was a governmental authority over the twelve tribes of Israel.   Jeremiah was by birth a priest, son of Hilkiah of the priest.  He would have understood perfectly the meaning of the Almond Rod as a governmental priestly authority.

Jeremiah protested his appointment because of inability: “I cannot speak,” and immaturity, “I am a child.”  He knew this call was under the exclusive Covenantal right of Jehovah.  There would be opposition and fierce antagonism.  But those that oppose are but men, while the Ruler of the whole universe will be at the Prophet’s side.  Age is not the criterion…the CALL OF GOD is the criterion!

The judgment of Judah was pending because of their forsaking God to worship idols (1: 11-16).  Jeremiah would have to be ready to declare all the Word of God to all to whom he is sent, and that without fear, regardless of their attitude.

Jeremiah must be prepared for an attitude of unmerited hatred and violent antagonism by all classes of people (1:19).  Even as a youth of 20, he knew the people would resist his prophetic utterances.

We can apply this same truth to the President of the United States as we see the hate and demonic powers that have raised themselves to destroy him.  To be used by the LORD comes at a very high cost.  The more powerful the commission, the more intense the attacks.

The Almond rod was the divine manifestation of the authority of the High Priest.  This honor and authority was given to Aaron, a man chosen by God.  The Israelites hated and envied him.  Aaron was a man of God, and ordained for men, in things pertaining to God.  His call to the priesthood is abundantly confirmed in Numbers chapters 16 and 17.

Korah and his company were an influential group of ambitious and envious men.  They challenged the authority of Moses and attempted to intrude into the priestly office.  They accused Moses for that which they themselves were guilty.

The glory of the Lord appeared and dealt with the three ringleaders, who were swallowed by an earthquake and went down alive into Sheol.  If you notice, those who have come against President Trump soon disappear from the news cycles.

Even though the LORD had made it abundantly clear to all that Aaron was chosen, the princes of the tribes of Israel began to murmur, “If the head of a tribe must be a priest, why not the head of some other tribe than that of Levi?”

He that knows the heart of all men, knew what was in the hearts of these jealous and competitive men.

It seems the priesthood was a preferment worth seeking and striving for even by the princes of the tribes.

Each tribal leader was to present an Almond rod inscribed with his name on the rod.  All the tribal heads brought dead rods.

Upon trial the matter is determined by the miraculous blossoming of Aaron’s rod.

Numbers 17: 1-5:  The Lord spoke to Moses saying, Speak to the children of Israel and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods; you write every man/s name upon his rod.  Yu shall write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi; for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.  You shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.  It shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom; and I will make to cease from Me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

(The Almond tree is the earliest tree to bloom in the Spring.  The Almond tree is a type of the Overcomer who is to be given the authority of the Kingdom.)  Fruitfulness is the best evidence of a divine call.   The trees of the Lord though they seem dry trees are full of sap. (Ps. 104:16)

The LORD caused His Spirit of Life to spring up in Aaron’s rod.

17:8-10:  …behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds…the Lord said to Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite take away their murmurings from Me, that they do not die.

So, when Jeremiah saw the Almond Rod, he would have known this was the authority of God to His chosen vessel.  It was a high honor and it would be easy to see why young Jeremiah would shrink back from such a powerful commission.

Jeremiah was timid, sensitive, and intensely sympathetic.  No single one of the Old Testament prophets comes so near to us in a human as was Jeremiah.  He has all the powerful utterance of Hosea, and at times can deal a blow as heavy as Isaiah, but at the same time his heart is overflowing with a human feeling for the misery of his people, and weeps hot tears over the piteous fall of his fatherland.

Jeremiah was by birth a priest, by grace a prophet; by the trials of life a bulwark for God’s truth; by daily spiritual experience one of the greatest exponents of prophetic faith in his unique relation to God.

Jeremiah was a Kingdom man under the authority of the Lord; he had no rights or alternatives!

Jer. 1: 8-10: Be not afraid of their faces; for I am with you to delver you, says the LORD.  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth.  The LORD said to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.  See I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down and to destroy and to thrown down, to build and to plant.

Jeremiah points to the overcomer who will be appointed as the watchman of the earth, and the shepherd of the nations. (Rev. 2: 26-28).

Church the LORD is setting watchmen over the earth because the Spirit of the Lord is overturning, rooting out and pulling down strong holds over nations.

Jer. 1:12-13:  Then said the Lord to me, You have well seen; for I will hasten My word to perform it.  The Word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, What do you see?  I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.

This is a nation in chaos and great commotion like boiling water.  In Jeremiah’s day, it was Israel.  In the 21st Century, it is our nation and the nations of the world.  This judgment was set in the justice of God by the sin of the people.  Yet, the divine patience had restrained judgment.  But now all restraints shall be taken off, and the evil shall break forth.

God’s summons to the nations of the earth shall be obeyed.  Those whom he calls shall come.  The commanders of the several nations shall take their post in carrying out the purposes of God.

So, if the LORD is extending His almond rod/ rod of iron/ staff/scepter to the Overcomers in the Church, then we like Jeremiah will be faced with the boldness, courage, and commission to stand at our watchtower in prayer as the Spirit of God roots out, pulls down, destroys and throws down the evil in our nation as well as the nations of the earth.

Jer. 1: 16-19:  I will utter My judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken Me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.  You, therefore, gird up your loins and arise, and speak to them all that I command you; be not dismayed at their faces, less I confound you before them.  Behold I have made you this day a defensed city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. They shall fight against you; but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you.

Mark Taylor prophesied in The Trump Prophecies that the United States (President Donald J. Trump) with Russia would overturn the Illuminati/New World Order.

There was an article in Sean Adi-Tabatabai News that President Trump is reclaiming the federal reserve from the Rothschild Family.  7/13/18:

Cnbc.com reports: The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve is required to have seven members. It has three. Two of the current governors were put into their position by President Trump. Two more have been nominated by the president and are awaiting confirmation by the Senate. After these two are put on the Fed’s board, the president will then nominate two more to follow them. In essence, it is possible that six of the seven Board members will be put in place by Trump.

The Federal Open Market Committee has 12 members and sets the nation’s monetary policy. Seven of the 12 are the members of the Board of Governors. Five additional are Federal Reserve district bank presidents. Other than the head of the Fed bank in New York, who was nominated by the president, the other four can only take their positions as district bank presidents if the board in Washington agrees to their hiring. One of these, the Fed Bank president in Minneapolis, Neel Kashkari, is already arguing for no further rate increases.

The president can and will take control of the Fed. It may be recalled when the law was written creating the Federal Reserve the secretary of the Treasury was designated as the head of the Federal Reserve. We are going to return to that era. Like it or not the Fed is about to be politicized.

If this is true, the dream I had that The Dragon (China and North Korea) and the Illuminati are attempting to bring down the Trump Presidency, the economic battle will intensify.

We are winning on many fronts; but there is a battle for our nation at high levels of our government as well as other governments attempting to bring us under subjection by controlling our government, etc.

It will take the church to arise, stand and take authority against the evils.  We, the Church cannot take a back seat to the issues of Kingdom government over nations.  The Lord has given the Overcomer authority over nations. (Rev. 2: 26-27).  The rule of nations is on the Church, not politicians.  If we leave the lost and believers to live in a godless, lawless society, legislated by men/women without God, then we will stand accountable before God.
