THE MYSTERY OF LAWLESSNESS

Because I am persuaded, we are in the last days of this age; the teachings of Paul to the Thessalonians are extremely telling.  We the church are to stand, decree, walk and deliver our nation, creation, and the lost.  During these times of intense spiritual warfare over our nation. those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will share His resurrection-glory. All creation is groaning and laboring for that future day when itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.   

 

Those who are outside the seal/salvation of God are the victims of “the mystery of lawlessness.”  They are among those who perish. They are deceived with lying wonders…the workings of Satan.”   I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

 

2 Thess. 2: 7-12: The mystery of lawlessness is already at work, only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. The lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders; and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  For this reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  (N.K.J.V.)

 

 

In 2 Thess. 2: 1-4, Paul makes clear the events that must precede the Day of the Lord:

 

1. A falling away or widespread rebellion against God known as the Great Apostasy.
2. The man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God.

 

 

Paul warns his hearers not to be shaken over certain teachings on the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He is here associating our being gathered together unto Christ with the Day of the Lord.  Two words are used to describe the unsettling effect of the teaching.  It drives men ‘from their sober sense like a ship from its moorings’ and also produces a lasting state of disturbance. 

 

We the church are in a spiritual warfare with the spirit of Antichrist, the beast of the book of Revelation.  The apostles were in the same warfare as described by Paul, Peter and John. The Antichrist will have control of the world (kosmos) system, Babylon, controlling money and commerce.  Church we are not of this world.  We have been chosen out of the world (Jn. 15:19).   “All” in Rev. 13:7-8 is a figure of speech---synecdoche in which a whole is spoken for a part.

 

 Rev. 13:8: All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world

 

When we were saved into the Kingdom of God out of the kingdoms of this world, we entered into the warfare between good and evil.

Facts about the Antichrist:

 

1. Called the man of sin because he will be the embodiment of lawlessness and leader of the great apostasy. (Rev. 13: 1-18; 14:9-13; 15” 2-4’ 16: 2-12)
2. Called the son of perdition because of being destined to destruction by his rebellion, like Judas or any other man who sells himself to Satan.

3.      The spirit of lawlessness now works preparing for his revelation and has worked in the battle between good and evil.

4. The mystery of iniquity, or spirit of lawlessness cannot reveal him until the hinderer of lawlessness be taken out of the world.
5. When the hinderer of lawlessness is taken out of the world, then shall that wicked by revealed.
6. He will be the opposer of God.
7. Will exalt himself above God.
8. He will accept worship as God.
9. His worship will be carried on in the temple of God.
10. He will claim to be God.
11. He has a set time to be revealed.
12. God has set supernaturally a power which now holds back or hinders his revelation.
13. When the wicked one is revealed, he will live until the second advent of Christ, will head the armies at Armageddon, and will be destroyed by Christ.  (Rev. 19: 11-21, Dan. 7: 24-28; 8: 23-27; 9:27; 11: 36-45; 12: 1-7; Mt. 24: 15-31)
14. Satan will embody a man because he will be killed by Christ at Armageddon (Dan. 7:11; 8:25; Isa. 11:4; Rev. 19: 11-21)
15. He will be Satan’s agent and his last attempt to raise up a world dictator.

 (Dan. 8:24; 11: 37-39; Rev. 12:2)

16. He will have miraculous powers from Satan. (Dan. 8:24; 11:37-39; Rev: 13:2; 11-18; Mt. 24:24)
17. He will be a deceiver.
18. Those who are lost will follow him.
19.  The reason for men being deceived by him is that they have rejected truth, loved sin, and refused salvation which is the mystery of lawlessness.
20. He will be a great delusion and a lie.
21. He will be a man.
22. He will rise out of the sea of humanity (Dan. 9:24; 9:27; 11: 36-45).

 

I am persuaded the strategy of the lawlessness presently over our nation is to destroy the Church.  He will make war with the saints, and to overcome them.  Power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues and nations.  All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  (Rev. 13: 7-8)

 

The spirit of the Dragon manifesting from China has joined with the Beast/spirit of lawlessness to not only destroy the church, but to separate families, and to isolate people.  Amazing that the spirit of antichrist manifesting in lawlessness gathers without hindrance under the guise of protests against Law and Order and Racism.

 

Satan’s deception is blatant and obvious.  He will be a supernaturally gifted orator.  The spirit of antichrist behind lawlessness has the full power of the American media behind their lawlessness. 

 

Rev. 13:5-6: There was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.  He opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

 

I am persuaded that even though he will be given power for forty-two months, every nation will not be controlled by the Antichrist.  In 3-1/2 years, he could not physically kill everyone who doesn’t take the mark of the beast.  Only those whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb will worship him.  Christians are excluded.  Our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

 

The remnant of the woman in Revelation 12:17, escapes the mark of the beast and the worship of Antichrist. 

 

I can take all the scriptures and show you how I come to this conclusion. I don’t have time in this sermon.  I only bring it up today to enforce the Church’s authority over the spirit of lawlessness in our land.  We the church not only do not cower down to plagues, lawlessness, the mark of the beast, i.e. the spirit of Antichrist, the dragon or the false prophet, but we have authority over it.

 

Finnis J. Dake:  “We conclude that Antichrist will not rule America or be a world-wide dictator; that his kingdom will be limited to the old Roman Empire territory during the time he seeks to enforce the new beast worship; that he will be in constant wars with other nations during the whole 7 years he is here (Dan. 7:23-24; 9:27 11: 36-45).  Multitudes of all nations will escape the mark of the beast and his worship.  Antichrist will be defeated by Christ before he conquers all of Asia, Europe and Africa, as well as before he conquers the Americas and all other parts of the world.”

 

People of God this courage that we are being called unto is our authority over the spirit of lawlessness in our LAND, our families within Christ’s glorious kingdom on earth and in Heaven.

 

 

80: 1-2:  God-Enthroned, be revealed in splendor as you ride upon the cherubim!  How perfectly you lead us, a people set free.  Loving Shepherd of Israel---listen to our hearts’ cry! Shine forth from your throne of dazzling light. 

 

We know very well the many spirits and religions in the world today that deny Jesus Christ as the Son of God.  Some religions believe Jesus became the Son of God but was not with God in the beginning as part of the Trinity.   There is no other way by which men may be saved except they believe on Him and receive Him as their Lord and Savior.

 

The letter of Hebrews rules out a future Temple for Christian worship.  We are the Temple.  We carry within our Spirit, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Jesus Christ was the temple of God during His earthly ministry.  He fulfilled all the temple worship and feasts.  

 

The lawless one opposes Christ.   Rather than presenting himself as a false messiah, he presents himself as the Messiah.  He acknowledges no other authority than his own.   Whereas the Messiah by definition only did what He saw the Father do.

 

Even in the apostle’s day there existed a restraining power which would prevent the revelation of antichrist so long as it continued to operate.  This power is referred to in 2 Thessalonians 6- 7.  I prefer to believe this restraining power encompasses the Holy Spirit and the Church.   

 

If you are passionate about one or the other, I don’t know anyone who knows more than you do, and that includes the commentators.  It seems clear to me that the restraining power would encompass three entities. 

 

1. If a government of a nation denies the sovereignty of God over that nation, then it becomes lawless and ruled by lawlessness. 
2. If a church does not worship Father, Son and Holy Ghost making place for the Presence and liberty of the Holy Spirit, then it becomes apostate.
3. If the Holy Spirit’s presence is lifted, then there is no restraining power against Satan.

 

This is in contrast to 1 Tim. 3:16 and the mystery of Godliness:  Without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into Glory.

All rise! For God comes to judge as he convenes heaven’s courtroom!  He judges every judge and rules over every ruler.

 

I charge Judge Sullivan as one who is continuing to corrupt what is right.  I charge China, the governors and mayors of the liberal cities and states that you are continuing to corrupt what is right.

 

 The Lord gave us a Word this past Sunday that according to your words, it will be done unto us during this time on earth. 

 

Lord Jesus we stand before you and confess the political problems in our nation are spiritual problems of greed, lust for power and failure of our nation and church to give you the glory that you are sovereign over this nation, the nation of Israel and the nations of the earth.  We repent of giving power to the dragon by murmuring “woes.”   By faith, we chopped off the heads of the dragon manifesting through China.  Now we overthrow China with our authority to bind their evil works of power over the earth.   We ask you to forgive us for the sins of our government leaders and spiritual leaders past and present.     

 

Prov. 28:2: A rebellious nation is thrown into chaos, but leaders anointed with wisdom will restore law and order.  I ask you to anoint President Trump, Attorney General Barr, the Senate, governors and mayors with the wisdom which will restore law and order. 

 

Lord Jesus I charge Communist China and the Liberals with funding the barbarians invading our land through our election system, our polls, and the internet.  I charge Chinese assets as well as the Deep State people are employed in strategic government positions.  I charge China with stealing our financial and natural resources.  Cities are in ruins. Night after night, corpses of your loving people are lying in our streets.  China has heaped their scorn upon us. China has treated our generosity toward them with contempt and sneering. “The light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.”

 

O Lord Jesus arise like a mighty man roaring into action, blast into battle and drive back every spirit of the dragon and the spirit of the antichrist in the One World Order.  Strengthen your church O’ God that we will arise in the power of Your might, bind the works of Satan and over-throw China and the spirit of antichrist who have conspired to over-throw our election.  Lord we agree that they will be overthrown by the power of Your Might and the Church will arise coming alongside the Host of heaven.       

 

We declare according to your word:

Job 18:5 - the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

Job 20:5 -the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

 

Proverbs 21:7: You violent rebels don’t have a chance; for your rejection of truth and your love of evil will drag you deeper into darkness.  I call you to repentance before you perish. 

 

Proverbs 21:16: You violent rebels have forsaken the ways of wisdom; you will wander into the realm of dark spirits.

 

Prov. 24:20:  The wicked have no life and no future your light of life will die out. Sudden destruction will fall upon you and your evil plans will be shut down in a moment.   

 

Prov. 26:3: Lead a rebellious fool with a beating on his backside. I ask you to deal with the evil doers in the Democratic party and the rebels in the Republican party.  I ask you to bring them into correction and repentance.

 God you are too great to allow the American election to be out of His control.  We know the enemies of our nation are on your leash.  Lord God we come into agreement with you as you demonstrate your glory-power.  We arise with you O’ God as the Mighty Commander of Angel-Armies.

 

Let your beaming face shine upon us with the sunrise rays of glory and then nothing will be able to stop us!
