Jeremiah 23:5-6: ”Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

Vision of the Night given to Carolyn Sissom, April 1989:

I was on a wooded mountainside near the top of the mountain in a tree with a view of a beautiful forest.  I was facing a tree from which a gentle wind (not a storm) blew a BRANCH OF THE TREE many miles into a valley, never breaking from the tree.  (The branch was stretched to an incredible length as far as the sea).  The leaves of the branch were gold in color and gloriously beautiful with the Glory of God.  The branch then returned in place.

Then I was on the ground watching the gentle wind blow through the trees.  Out of the wind came the top of a cedar tree.  It was shaped like a Christmas tree, but blue-violet in color.  It was loaded with blue-violet pomegranates.  I grabbed the tree and took it to a place where a banquet was being served to a large number of people.  I spoke to the man-at-the-head of the table announcing to him that we should have a banquet of thanksgiving because of the cedar tree.  He agreed and instructed me to open up this immense banquet room.

I believe the mountain is the Mountain of the Lord where there is fullness of blessing.  Heb. 12:22: “For you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.”

The forest is usually metaphorical of people. Isaiah 7:2b: “And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.”

The Righteous Branch as we know is our Lord Jesus Christ and His grafted on branches of the gospel church.  (John 15:5) “I am the vine, you are the branches; he that abides in me and I him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without me, you can do nothing.”

The branch parallels the Joseph principle of a fruitful bough.

Psalm 80:10) “The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.  She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.”

Psalm 80: 14-15:  “Return, we beseech you, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine.  And the vineyard which you right hand has planted, and the branch you made strong for yourself.”

Jeremiah was given a vision of the Restoration.  The righteousness of a New Testament King-Priest Ministry is here revealed to Jeremiah by metaphor.

Isa. 11:1:  “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots; and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.”

The rod is Jesus and the stem is David, and the Branch is the Body of Christ with Jesus as the vine and we are the grafted branches.  The glorious branch of Isaiah 4:2 is Jesus and His glorious church of Ephesians 5:27:  “In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for they that are escaped of Israel.” (Eph. 5:27) “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be Holy and without blemish.”

The Davidic Covenant (11 Sam 7; 1 Chr. 17) has to do with ruler-ship, government and the Throne of God, which is the authority of God invested in the Name or the Nature of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Branch of the Lord is linked with the Sven Spirits of God.

Rev. 1:4:  “John to the seven churches be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and whish was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Rev. 4: 4-5:  “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats; and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed with white raiment, and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Rev. 5:6:  “And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes  which are the seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

The Seven Spirits of God denote the fullness of the Spirit. (John 3:34b) “For whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gave not the Spirit by measure unto him.  The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.”

This anointing rests upon Jesus, the head of the Church; it will also come upon His Body, the Church. (Psa. 133 – The precious ointment that ran down the beard).

These Seven Spirits are the anointing given to the One Spirit of Ephesians 4:4. “There is one body, and  one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all.”

One cam compare the golden Candlestick in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle of Moses which seven lamps.  The candlestick reveals two principles particular to the book of Jeremiah:

  1. The Vine and the Branch
  2. It was an almond plant

Eastgate Ministries, Inc. is a lampstand church.  Shortly after we started the church in Texas, I had a vision of Jesus enterting the sanctuary and lighting the lampstand.

Rev. 1-5 reveals seven horns, which speak of complete or all power.  The seven eyes speak of complete understanding or all seeing wisdom.  John 16:13: “Howbeit when He, The Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whosoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”

We can compare the seven colors of the rainbow which was about the throne, and then compare the multicolored coat of Joseph and the best robe of the younger prodigal in Lk. 16.  All these principles speak of ruler-ship, government and the throne of God.

The cedar tree in the vision given to me was Blue-Violet with Blue-Violet Pomegranates.  This is the color of royalty…kingly anointing of Jesus.  The royalty of the government of God.   The Pomegranates represent the Fruit of righteousness… (The Branch of Righteousness) …fragrant, sweet savor of the Lord.

The whole earth shall be governed in righteousness by the Branch Man, and those seven spirits of God (the fullness of the anointing) shall rest upon Him, and upon His Body (The Overcomer) (Rom 8:29) “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” The Lord shall rule in the glory and order of the Kingdom.  These seven spirits are living and not inanimate spirits.

11 Cor. 3:2-6: For as much as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.  And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward.  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.  Who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament not of the letter, but of the Spirit and the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

The Lord Jesus, our Heavenly, Aaron (High Priest) is lighting the Candlestick!  The Lamp stand had no measurements, showing that this anointing is unlimited.  This Glorious Church, this anointed Body, this Messianic company is being raised up and brought unto the stature of their Lord, who is the heavenly David, and the King of Kings!  We are becoming one with Him in the Most Holy Place.

Behold the days come, says the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

This is the New Testament and the people of the Sabbath rest of being totally in Him while He is totally in them.   It is one thing for us to have Christ in us, it is another thing to be in Christ.

As with the Tabernacles and Temples of the Bible, the Lord repeatedly emphasized the Branch of Righteousness to all of His prophets from Genesis to Revelation.  It is an unbreakable promise of restoration, redemption, authority, government and glory of the Lord and his redeemed.
