THE LION COMPANY ROARS OUT OF ZION

Joel 3:16: The Lord shall “roar” out of Zion, the Most Holy Place, and “utter” His “voice” from Jerusalem. Jesus is the Lion King of the tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5) whose “testimony” (witness) is the “spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10). The corporate Overcomer, those apprehended for the “high calling” (Phil. 3: 12-14), make up the Lion Company who prophesy out of Zion.
This roar shall cause the “heavens and the earth to shake”. But the Lord will be the hope of his people.
Joel 2:1: Blow the trumpet in Zion. Sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble. For the day of the LORD is coming. For it is at hand.
The LORD spoke to me last week through His Word and a sign when Rev. Robert Steele stood in the church balcony and blew the trump over the assembly in conjunction with the shofar being blown by Les Barner from the pulpit.
Dutch Sheets posted in Give Him 15 a vision given to Tim Sheets about the Glory River:
“Suddenly, I was lifted above the scene. Below me, I saw the river winding through cities, regions, and Ekklesia hubs across the nations. Hovering overreach gathering of believers stood an angel holding a golden trumpet. Though no musical sound was heard, a decree filled the atmosphere: “Everything lives where the rivers flows.” (posted by Give Him

“Every dimension of present truth requires a trumpet; a clear prophetic voice among the people of God that articulates His heart… to return to the “high calling” of God (W.S. Ward, Jr.).
Joel 3:2: “I will also gather all nations…”
Joel’s prophecy now comes full circle. The complete desolation of Judah and Zion. (The high calling) in Joel 1:1-20 brought forth the sound of the trumpet, calling us to the much-needed consecration of Joel 2:1-32. After this comes the global restoration described in Joel 3:1-21.
Joel 3:1-8 begins with the Lord’s vindication. He judges every strange “nation” that has dared to raise its voice against Zion.
Joel 3 must be preached in this time, for surely, we are watching as the LORD GOD is moving powerfully in “all nations.” President Trump has been mandated with a burden for peace not just for our nation, but for “all nations.”
Through time, God has progressively restored the “years” (Joel 2:25) and gathered his people from among strange “nations.” Zion’s restoration.
We are now in a season of a third reformation.
“The Ekklesia are ports of recovery and restoration… Ekklesia hubs appeared as ports of redemption and recovery, places where the lost found refuge and the broken found restoration. The scale of this was massive and global.” (Tim Sheet’s vision – posted in Give Him 15).
No one is exempt in the Day of the Lord. God will “gather” and judge “all nations,” all flesh (Joel. 2:28). As God continues to pour out His Spirit, the pure Word of the Kingdom will increasingly vindicate His righteous name and bring cleansing to every “nation.” As with all biblical truths, there is a threefold paradigm concerning the “nations.” As revealed to the prophet in Ezekiel 8:6-18, there are “abominations” (idols) in three dimensions:
1. Cor. 10:5: Casting down imagi-nations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
2. Jer. 14:14: The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them; they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of naught, the deceit of their heart.
3. Romans 1:25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator.
Men and women have conformed God to their own image, so that their perception of God can corroborate and substantiate their teachings and ways of living. Thus, we have an Evangelical Jesus, a Pentecostal Jesus, a Kingdom Jesus, and a Messianic Jesus.
The Church has been liberated to worship One Jesus and preach One Gospel of Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:4: Whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
The Day of the Lord is a day of reversals (Ps. 126). The nations of the world are going to be re-captured in the name of the Lord. They will be turned over to a life of “praise.” In the harvest, God will continue to deal with every antichrist spirit that the worldly church and politicians have created, and He will spoil the fruit of all their labors.
The nations of the earth are going to bring their glory and “honor” into the city of God. Our most valuable commodity we have is our children. The kids are coming to Zion. We have a generation of young people who have been brain washed in our education system to bow to the idols of the spirit of antichrist (Joel 3:6)
Our young people have been removed “far” (Joel 2:20) from the “border” of Zion’s high calling. Their lives are void of the Word of God and the ways of the Spirit.
Joel 3:3: …They have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
Joel 3:7: Behold, I will raise them out of the place where you have sold them and will return your recompense upon your own head.
These verses describe child trafficking and the gender mutilation of our children.
God’s faith within us must reach high enough to believe He will turn the captivity of our youth and vindicate His purposes for their lives. As He did with Joseph, the Lord will “raise” them out of the pits into which they have been “sold.”
Vision given to Tim Sheets: “Then another remarkable scene unfolded. Hundreds of wicker baskets carrying infants floated down Glory River into the Ekklesia. I immediately remembered Moses. Hidden in a basket upon the Nile, what appeared vulnerable was actually being carried by God’s sovereign hand toward divine destiny.
Holy Spirit said, “These are My leaders—evangelists, pastors, teachers, prophets, and apostles whom I am raising for the great reformation.”
I knew these baskets represented a new generation being supernaturally prepared. The current of God's Spirit (God’s Story for Kids) is accelerating their development. Reformers are already on the way.”
Join your faith with my faith, even the victory of faith that overcomes the world. The Lord has given us a great victory. He is giving us a great victory as we war with heaven to defeat the spirit of terror from the nation of Iran; to defeat the spirit of child trafficking, to defeat the spirit of corruption.
By a miracle of God, we have been given an administration who is pushing back the Islamic extremists, protecting our citizens from lawlessness, overturning the corruption in our government, and protecting our religious freedoms. This is not being done by men whose feet are made of clay. It is being done by the intervention of the Hand of God by His Holy Spirit into our nation. We must pray for President Trump to fulfill his Kingdom mandate as a deliverer not just of our nation, but “all nations.”
Once we the church, have judged ourselves righteously, we will be given the authority to rule and reign with Christ. We will form His corporate divine witness on the earth.
To him who overcomes and does My will to the end, I will give authority over the nations… (Rev. 2: 26-27).
3:5: Because you have taken my silver and my gold and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things.
There is continued warfare for the church in the days and months ahead.
Joel 3:9: Proclaim you among the Gentiles; Prepare war…
Joel 3: 9-15 tells of a “holy” war, a “sanctified” war. He sets apart this holy war to the finish, not relenting until all have come through the valley of decision.
The trumpet is to “proclaim” this sound among the Gentiles. (Joel 1:14; 2:15, 32). All the “nations” are summoned to the Valley of Jehoshaphat (God’s judgment).
Now is the time to cross over to “prepare” or “sanctify” ourselves to receive His promise. His Holy Army has been prepared to execute His purposes.
Joel 3:9: …wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up.
This trumpet-blast is a double wake-up call.
“I have commanded My sanctified ones. I have also called My mighty ones for My anger…” (Isa. 13:3).
“Wake up the mighty men.”
1. The Mighty Men of Joel 3:9 are the “Mighty Men” of Joel 2:7. God’s army of mature sons. They are the “strong” ones of Joel 3:10, and the “mighty ones” of Joel 3:11 who will stretch the bow.
2. When God changed the old order in Noah’s day, he dealt with the giants (Gen. 6:4). These were the Nephilim, the fallen ones, bullies, and tyrants. The proud warriors of earth are again coming down to the valley to be judged.
The “men of war” are to “draw near” (approach, present themselves). The Army of Zion is made up of “ordinary men (enosh).” Yet corporately they are His mighty and strong ones (Ishi), which is a tempest of hail and a destroying storm…a flood of mighty waters…the overflowing scourge.”
“Beat your plowshares into swords…” (Joel. 3:10).
Once the Lord’s holy war is accomplished---the full, complete appropriation of His finished work---the Lord will rule in Zion. This eventual reversal of the order of things (swords back into plowshares, and spears back into pruning hooks) is described by both Isaiah and Micah.
“…Let the weak say, I am strong.” (Joel 3:10)
He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties; for when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Cor. 12: 9-10).
Don’t be afraid Zion! God has made you ready for this Day. You were “weak” in Adam. But now we are “strong” in Christ Jesus.
These faithful ones will sound the alarm. They will call this nation to repentance under the power of the Holy Ghost.
Joel 3:11: Assemble yourselves, and come, all you heathen, and gather yourselves together round about; thither cause your mighty ones to come down, O Lord.
Ps. 18:34: He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bonze.
The “nations” are haughty, as were the “drunkards of Ephraim.”. Babylon sits as a defiant “queen.” But the sons of Zion, the “arrows” of the Lord, will bring her down.
Joel 3:12: Let the heathen be wakened and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
There will be an awakening! This is not an invitation to be wakened. It is a command. All the nations of the earth have heard an alarm. They are awake. All the great men and women who have walked after the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are now ordered to “come up” from the swamp to the valley.
Joel 3:13: Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
“But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle (gathering hook), because the harvest is come” (Mark 4:29).
We are watching as these scriptures play out before our eyes. It is the Lord’s Hand in our midst. It is the Lord’s doings. He is moving before our eyes.
There are five “decisions” that all humankind must make in the “valley of decision.” The Valley of Jehoshaphat related to:
1. The Mount of Olives (Gethsemane, the “olive press”). This is the decision to surrender our will to God’s will.
2. The Valley of Berachah (“blessing”), where Jehoshaphat and his people gathered to “bless” God for a battle won by praise (2 Chron. 20: 20-26). This is the decision to let God fight every battle.
3. The place where the Jews historically buried worn-out rolls of Scripture. This is the decision to honor and reverence the Word of God.
4. King Melchizedeck’s Dale (Gen. 14:17) or Valley of Shaveh, as identified by the Jewish historian, Josephus. This is the decision to forgive everyone for everything and receive the blessing.
5. Absalom’s monument (2 Sam. 18:18), which was in the same vicinity. This is the decision to submit to the King and His Kingdom (honor true spiritual authority).
These last five verses of Joel’s prophecy describe the spoils of Zion’s “holy war” (Joel 3: 9-11). Those who have been called by the Lord’s trumpet have been ordained to become the Lord’s trumpet in the earth!
Joel 3:16: The Lord shall roar out of Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake; but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
The prophet Joel began his message by describing nationwide desolation. The only solution was the complete consecration of its priests and people. Once this commitment to prayer, fasting and cleansing had been made, Jehovah began his restoration of the years (Joel 3: 1-21).
Isa. 4:6: There shall be a tabernacle (in Zion) for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.” We live in an unshakeable Kingdom. The Seed is safe. The end is secure.
The Lord himself is like the fortress (rock) of Zion. He is the hope, the glory, the tabernacle, and the strength of His people! Zion is where His Presence is.
Joel 3:17: “So shall you know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain…”
The simple meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles is that God tabernacles Himself in a people---His “dwelling” is in Zion! This principle of incarnation flows throughout the Bible---God comes to dwell with man!
God goes “from tent to tent and from one tabernacle to another” as revealed to David (1Chron. 17:5; Ps. 84:7; Rom. 1:17). God is always on the move. The Scriptures speak of His “goings”. He moves especially as wind on water or as the Spirit on the Word.
Second, as God moves “from tent to tent,” the glory of each proceeding House increases. “The glory of the latter House shall be greater than the former” (Hag. 2:9).
1. God dwelled in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, walking in the “cool” (ruach or “spirit) of the day. (Gen. 3:8)
2. God walked with the patriarchs, with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
3. God dwelled in the Tabernacle of Moses.
4. God dwelled in the Tabernacle of David (2 Sam 6:17).
5. God dwelled in the Temple of Solomon.
6. God dwelled in the post-exilic Temple of Zerubbabel.
7. God dwelled in Herod’s Temple until Jesus (the glory of it) departed from it.
8. God dwelled in Jesus Christ, who then “dwelt” or tabernacled” among us as the Pattern Son, the “House” for the Father. He is Emmanuel---“God with us”, the Incarnate Word.
9. God dwells in the Church individually, the Body of Christ, the real Temple and eternal building or habitation of the Holy Spirit. The Church is His ongoing incarnation! We are His Naos, His “inner sanctuary.”
10. God dwells in the completed and glorified House of the Lord (Ez. 40-48); Rev. 21-22). This is the glorified community of God, The New Jerusalem.
Throughout Scripture, God comes to dwell “with” man, “among” man, and “in” man. The Bible does not emphasizes the “coming” of the Lord and the “appearing” of the Lord.
Rev. 21:3: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
The consummate victory of Joel 3: 16-21 is that God lives in the people whom His love has conquered! His overcoming people will have fully entered the Sabbath rest of the Lord.
Joel 3:18: It shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drop down new wine…
This is a vivid description of real revival, restoration, and reformation. This takes place “in that day”, the “Day of the Lord”. The new wine is flowing again.
Amos 9:13: …the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine.
The mountains shall prophesy! There shall be a fresh outpouring of His joy, for there shall be a fresh Word from the Lord!
Joel 3:18: …and the hills shall flow with milk…
The “milk” is metaphorical of the abundance of the land; to be fat, the richest, choice, best part. The Promised Land of Canaan flowed with milk and honey. This abundance of “milk” in the Day of the Lord speaks of all the new believers who will receive Jesus as Savior and Redeemer. This reveals the harvest principle and “flow” of Kingdom evangelism!
“…and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters…”
Hab. 2:14: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
Zech 14:8: “It shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem…”
The “rivers” are the waters of life, the pure flow, the moving of God’s Word and Spirit. The prophetic river is from the belly. The priestly river is from the sanctuary, and the kingly river is from the throne.
Joel 3:18: “…a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord and shall water the valley of Shittim.”
Zech. 13:1: In that day shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
In that Day, the “fountain” opened at Calvary’s Cross shall “come forth of” the corporate “House” of the Lord. Jesus Christ is the open Fountain. When He was pierced, there flowed forth blood and water. His blood will cleanse us from all sin. The full effect of His finished work will be manifested in Zion, and then flow out of Zion to the ends of the earth.
Jesus is the Rock that was smitten. This “fountain” flowed from the House of God will “water the Valley of Shittim.”
Joel 3:19: Egypt shall be desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Whether this is literal or metaphorical or both, Egypt represents the world (kosmos) with its bondage to sin. Pharaoh the king and god of Egypt is a picture of Satan, the prince and god of this world.
Edom was the name given to Esau after he forfeited the birthright to his brother Jacob. Edom represents the flesh.
Men and women have sacrificed their children to the ways of the world and the lust of the flesh. The evils of secular humanism in our school systems, child trafficking, domestic or ecclesiastical child abuse, the vile practice of child pornography, and America’s national evil of abortion are all examples of shedding innocent blood. All of this will be shaken and removed in the Day of the Lord. All that remains is His unshakeable Kingdom---in Zion (Heb. 12: 25-29).
Joel 3:20: But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
The “Judah” (praise) Company, the righteous remnant of Zion are those who have attained the “high calling” (Phil. 3:14). The corporate Overcomer rules and reigns with her Husband and High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, King of Salem or Jerusalem.
Joel 3:21: “…for the Lord dwells in Zion.”
Joel’s prophecy is ended. The “nations” have been judged. The Feast of Tabernacles has come. The Lord dwells in Zion. The Lord now tabernacles Himself in His permanent House of living stones. Mount Zion is His resting place of deliverance and holiness.
Obad. 1:17: Saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.
These are awesome, incredible days! God is doing something so big that He is the only One who has the faith for it. His eyes are running to and fro throughout the earth to find a man or a woman who will do it with Him.
Trumpets are blowing and the alarm is sounding throughout every nation. The Army of God is mustering. The “burden” of the Lord is the weight of what He has spoken. The “burden” of the prophet Joel is the church must repent of all mixture and return to the Christ-centered paradigm and purity of the gospel of the Kingdom, our First Love.
This is a new Day in God. It is a new season. God’s voice has awakened us. The Day of the Lord of the Book of Joel is not near, it is here.
Only radical disciples who love God more than themselves or the opinions of others will follow on to know the Lord even though all is not clear, and we don’t have all the answers. We have a compass, not a map. The Holy Spirit alone is our guide, our sole sense of direction.
This journey will require a keen sense of following the Holy Spirit in complete obedience. Carolyn Sissom, Pastor
