"NO MORE CURSE" - INDIA

“NO MORE CURSE”

Sunday, October 2, 2011

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

Jesus Christ redeemed us from the “curse of the Law”.  He became a curse for us.  Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, through our Faith, His Blood and the Holy Spirit we have been given authority over all the curses of the earth.

Rev. 22:3: “And there shall be no more curse; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve Him.  And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads; And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light; and they shall  reign for ever and ever.”

Gal. 3: 13-14: “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree; That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Sprit through faith.”

United States of America, One nation under God, you are blessed abundantly, above, all you can hope or think.  This blessing is upon this nation because we are a Christian nation and have sent missionaries into the whole world.  Yes as a nation our sins are many but today I will not recount them.  Our rejoicing must be that the “curses” have been broken off of the nation through Jesus Christ.  We must return to the Lord and give Him the Glory for our blessings.  We are all like sheep and have gone astray; and have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all.”

Roxanne and I returned from India on Monday.  We were the honored guests of Apostle Samson Rajkumar, Mission in Action.  We ministered at the Bible School for pastors, Pastor’s conference, orphanages, gathering of the widows, and numerous churches in Chennai and in the villages.

I was sent as a deliverer to India.  I soon saw the multitude of curses over the land and the people:

  1. The curse of the ground. (Gen. 3)
  2. The curse of the woman. (Gen. 3)
  3. The curse of the widow. (man-made curse)
  4. The curse of the widow’s children. (man-made curse)
  5. The curse of the man. (Gen. 3)
  6. The curse of poverty. (Mal. 3:9)
  7. The curse of the devourer. (Mal. 3:11)
  8. The curse of worshipping man-made gods and other gods.
  9. The curse of adultery. (Numbers 5:18-20) (bitter water)
  10. The curse of not giving glory to God. (Mal. 2:2) “If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to My name, says the Lord of Hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings.”
  11. The curse of backsliding from the blessing of the gospel.  “Hebrews 6: 6-9: “If they fall away, to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh; and put Him to an open shame.  For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God; But that which bears thorns and briers if rejected, and is near to cursing; whose end is to be burned.”

The Lord’s work is redemption.  He came to redeem us from the curse of the Law and the curses upon mankind due to their sin.  The foreign gods of Hindu, Islam, Buddha, and Jainism abound in India.  Eighty percent of the population of India is Hindu.   Thirteen percent are Muslim, but they are the third largest Muslim nation in the world.  Only 2.3% of the nation is Christian.

In the past few weeks a new Chief Minister of India came into office.  She is a Hindu and is anti-Christian.  She will be in office for four years.  It may become increasingly difficult for missionaries to obtain visas into India.  The nation has been known for religious tolerance allowing people to worship whatever god they choose.

Pastor Samson is believing God for 10 million souls for this decade.  He is well on his way with 140 churches; seven orphanages averaging 150 children per orphanage; a Bible School training young pastors both men and women; and a home for the widows who are considered untouchables.

The curses of poverty over India are unimaginable unless seen and experienced.  I have ministered in Mexico over the border in Juarez.  Yes, the poverty there is terrible, but Juarez has an advanced infrastructure, wealth and commerce.  We won’t mention the drug war now affecting that nation.  In Chennai, there is no infrastructure, no down-town office buildings, no sanitation, and no subdivisions separating the homeless from the rich.  We can’t throw enough money at 7 million people in Chennai to redeem it.  However, by the power of the Blood of Jesus, He can and will redeem an entire nation.

Isaiah 52:3: For thus says the Lord; you have sold yourselves for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money.  For thus says the Lord God, My people went down into Egypt (the realm of the curse) to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.  Now therefore, what have I here, says the Lord, that my people are taken away for nothing? They that rule over them make them to howl, says the Lord; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.  Therefore, My people shall know my name therefore they shall know in that day that I am He that does speak; behold it is I.”

This promise in Isaiah is to the nations.  (52:10) “The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.”

Here is the restoration and redemption of all who will receive and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and receive His Holy Spirit that we may be redeemed from all unholy thoughts, concepts and teaching that put us under a curse.  We can live and have our being in the Spirit in the realm of “no more curse” on this side of the grave.  The Christian is to arise out of the lower realms of our carnality into the Spirit and there sit down with Him at His throne and see His face.  It is the realm of not more night, no more pain, never crying again.  This realm of the Spirit cannot be reached by throwing silver and gold at a people to redeem them.  They will be redeemed without money.

That is not to say that offerings and tithes are not needed and used wisely by the Ministers of the Gospel.  Brother Samson has a very large financial responsibility and needs finances as well as our prayers.   But we do not have enough money to redeem the people of the earth from the curses of poverty, depravation, starvation, rejection and abuse.  “For pagans and profane men…loosen your shackles now…  Once you were sold for nothing, and now you shall be freed without any payment” (Mof; “put on your glory…no more pass through you…Shake off the dust and arise…loose those ropes from your neck…you shall not be ransomed with silver.”  When I sold you into exile, I asked no fee from your oppressors; now I can take you back again and owe them not a cent!” (LB).

Isa. 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says to Zion, Your God reigns!

The Apostle Thomas evangelized all of southern India and was martyred in Chennai.  We visited his tomb and I felt the presence of the Lord.  There is a Catholic chapel around the site of his martyrdom.  I gave a prophecy, “Shall these dead bones live?  Yes, they shall live.  As the Apostles birthed the church, so shall the Lord raise up Apostles whose feet will walk in this place who will bear the church up in the Spirit into the fullness of the Kingdom.”

I believe these will bear the vessels of the Lord (Isa. 52: 11-15) with a world-wide mission in the service of the Lord.  These ministries will see clearly with an unveiled face (11 Cor. 3:18) and will minister from the realm of the Most Holy Place, the place of no more curse, no more night, no more pain, never crying again, for we are living in the  light of the risen Lamb.

52:12-15: “For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the Lord will go before you; and the God is Israel will be your rearward.  Behold, My servant shall deal prudently.  He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.  As many were astonished at you; His visage (Jesus) was so marred more than any man and His form more than the sons of men.  So shall He sprinkle many nations, the kings shall shut their mouths at Him; for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.”

Jesus identified with the family of man and took upon himself every bit of our grief, pain and sickness.  He took our sins and ultimate curses.  He swallowed it up, and removed it.  He put it away (Heb. 7-10).  Reason is contrary to faith which is required to receive the provision of His finished work.

I want to commend the people of India that I didn’t see people smoking cigarettes.  The dress of the women is modest and with beautiful garments.  Prostitution is very rare.  The men dress as gentlemen and the Pastors who escorted us treated us with every courtesy and grace.  We were well received by the Pastors in their assemblies. The Christian churches and people were beautiful to behold in the midst of all of the poverty.

I want to commend Rev. Roxanne Giardina as a woman of great grace who handled herself in a way that is a commendation to our church and to the Lord.

I commend Apostle Samson Rajkumar and his staff at Mission In Action for excellency of ministry.  www.missioninaction.net
