JUBILEE 2012, The Year of our Lord

JUBILEE 2012

Sunday, June 3, 2012, The Year of our Lord

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

Today’s message is a prophetic action in alignment with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Tuesday, June 5, 2012.  Today I am presenting  the vision of this year’s Big White Tent Jubilee before the church.

The Queen’s celebration began on Saturday and today there is a flotilla on the Thames River and the ringing of church bells throughout the UK.  We want to honor her as a Godly woman and for her high standards which continue to raise the banner high for morality, good manners and taste.

As I stated earlier this week in an email, after preaching on Jubilee on May 6, 2012, at the Sunday evening service, the Lord spoke to me the following day, “This year’s tent event was to be a Jubilee”.  When I realized the Queen was having a Jubilee, I began to anticipate we were in the “middle” of a Holy Spirit invasion.

Kathie Walters then posted a prophecy given by Bob Jones several years ago when she was ministering in North Wales.  She had been to visit an old friend, Arthur Burt.  Arthur has been in the ministry for about 85 years.  He was part of a tremendous revival years ago around the 1930’s.

On her arrival back to the U.S., she called Bob Jones to see if he had any word for Wales.  He said, “No but I have a word for an old man in Wales and you were just in his house…Tell him he will see the word.”

What’s the word, Kathie asked.  Bob said, “I don’t know, you will have to ask him what word he received.  He received it years ago.  It was given to a group of people and they are all dead now except for him.  But tell him he will see it.”

Kathie called Bro. Burt in Wales…

Arthur replied “They are all dead now the people in that group, I am the only one left.”

“ Yes I know Arthur, what was the word?” I asked again

“I can hear it now like it was then, I keep it in my pocket you know” Arthur said.

“ARTHUR, WHAT WAS THE WORD?” I practically yelled at him then.

This is the word that he read to me over the phone: remember that the promise to Arthur was that he would see this revival before he died. He is now 96

GIVEN TO A GROUP (Arthur Burt was a part of this group) 1930 - Bob's Jones birth year!

“THERE SHALL COME A BREATH AND THE BREATH SHALL BRING THE WIND AND THE WIND SHALL BRING THE RAIN AND THE RAIN SHALL BRING THE FLOODS AND FLOODS AND FLOODS AND THE FLOODS SHALL BRING THE TORRENTS AND TORRENTS AND TORRENTS.
SO SHALL THEY BE SAVED LIKE FALLING LEAVES FROM THE MIGHTY OAKS SWEPT BY A HURRICANE IN A GREAT FOREST. ARMS AND LEGS SHALL COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN AND THERE SHALL BE NO EBB
.”

Kathie then posted that for 48 hours she had been seeing myriads of angels in the heavenlies standing in rows….then she heard the sound of bells pealing over and over…”

There are two events this Summer in the United Kingdom where the church bells will ring throughout the land.

  1. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee flotilla, Sunday, June 3, 2012.
  2. July 27, 2012 is the start of the Olympic games and the church bells are scheduled to ring across the U.K. at 8:00am.

Jon Burns, UK Director of More than Gold said, “It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for churches all around the UK to come together in this way.”  Both events will bring people together in national “Unity”.  (Posted by Kathie Walters – paraphrased)

Bells were common in Palestine, yet are mentioned only twice in the Bible.  Tiny bells of pure gold were fastened to the hem of the high priest’s robe, or put on the bridles or breast straps of horses.  Their purpose was twofold: for ornament, and to accustom the war horses to noise.  The bells were used to encourage the animals by their sound; to frighten beasts of prey; and to keep a caravan together (unity).

Jesus is our great High Priest (Heb. 4: 14-16); bells of gold (symbolized the divine nature) adorn the hem of His robe of ministry, separating the pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet (Ex. 28: 33-34).  Men heard the harmony of the bells.

The blue robe was not worn by the regular priesthood.  The robe wholly belonged to either royalty or the very wealthy, signifying position and authority.  The primary purpose for the robe was to prepare to put on the Ephod.  The hem of the robe was for healing.

The alternating bells and pomegranates on the garments of Aaron typify the “gifts” and “fruit” of the Spirit in balance and interdependence---the ministry and nature of our Lord that adorns His glorious churches

Overcoming Christians like powerful war horses, are adorned with bells that say, “HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD”.  Zechariah 14:10:  “In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS TO THE LORD…”

The enemy is afraid of our sound of harmonious praise in unity, especially when we make one sound in praising and thanking the Lord.   John 17:17:21: “That they all may be one; as you, Father are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Under the Old Covenant, the Jubilee trumpet was blown on the 10th day of the 7th month, the same day that the High Priest walked through the veil.  There will be release from corruption and death for humanity and creation when a body of overcoming saints follows Jesus, our High Priest,  into the Holy of Holies clothed with the robes of righteousness adorned with the “gifts” and “fruit” of the Holy Spirit in unity, in love, in balance and interdependence   Then, the Lord will roar out of Zion through a High Priestly ministry to minister deliverance and liberty to the earth. (Rom 6: 19-20; Rom 8: 1-25).

The Jubilee is prophetic of the Lord Jesus, who came to deliver the beggar, brokenhearted, bound, blind and bruised and to proclaim the acceptable year (Jubilee) of the Lord, which he proclaimed to be fulfilled at the beginning of His earthly ministry.

In the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry, He came to Nazareth.  He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.  There was delivered to Him the book of the prophet Isaiah.  He read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised; to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Jesus closed the book, gave it back to the minister, and sat down.  The eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him.  He began to say to them, “this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”  The word is “scripture is fulfilled”.

Leviticus 25: 1-55:

On the Day of Jubilee, Liberty was proclaimed throughout the land to all the inhabitants as men were set free and prison doors were opened.  Holiness marked this year which was also a Sabbath year for the land.  No sowing or reaping was to be done.  The land was to rest.

Restoration of every man to his own possession brought great joy.  Release of all slaves also produced much celebration.

Isaiah 61:3:  The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tiding to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He might be glorified.”

Verses 1-3 describe a two-fold mission of the Servant of the Lord, namely; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the opening of the day of grace; and, to proclaim the day of vengeance of God and His judgment of the nations.  The anointed messenger, the Servant of the Lord tells of His appointment, and describes His program.

Then in verses 4-9, we see the restoration of Israel’s cities and compensation for her sufferings.

They shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.  Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.  But you shall be named the Priests of the Lord; men shall call you the ministers of our god; you shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.

This year is also called the Year of My Redeemed.  (Isa. 63: 1-4)  Who is this that comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah?  This that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength?  I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.  Why are you red in Your apparel and Your garments like him that treads in the wine fat?  I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with Me; for I will tread them in My anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment.  For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed is come.”

In Ezekiel 46:17, Jubilee is called the Year of Liberty:  “If he (the prince) give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince; but his inheritance shall be his sons’ for them.”

The gift of his inheritance is for the Sons of God.

Ultimately the Year of Jubilee points to man being delivered from the curse and thus entering New Jerusalem and the restoration of dominion of the earth.

In the Jubilee year there is rest, reversal, release, remission, refreshing and reunion.  There is a return to parents: (Lev. 25:10) “You shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty through out all the land to all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee to you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and you shall return every man to his family.

There are pillows of rest: (Lev. 25:11) “A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you; you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of your vine undressed.”

It is a time of peace: (Lev. 25:14) “And if you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy anything of your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another.”

There is divine protection: (Lev. 25:19) “And the land shall yield her fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.”

It is a time of plenty:  (Lev. 25:21) “Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.”

In the 7000 years since Adam, there are 120 Jubilee years. (11 Chronicles 5:12; Acts 1:15)

The Jewish year of Jubilee is no longer observed.  According to their interpretation of Lev. 25:2, “When you come into the land which I give you”, it is believed to mean all twelve tribes have to be in the land in order to observe Jubilee.

The Lord has His own Jubilee calendar.  When he proclaimed in the Synagogue of Nazareth, “It is the acceptable Year of the Lord”, and the scripture was fulfilled.  That explains why the Jews no longer observe Jubilee for the same reason the Temple worship was abolished.   The Temple of God was  fulfilled In Jesus.  Now the Temple of God is within the saints.  Thus, the Christians who will follow their High Priest into the Holy of Holies will carry within the church, The Acceptable Year of the Lord, the Jubilee of Lev. 25 and fulfilled by Jesus as stated by Him in Luke 4: 17-21.

If we are in His will, loving and serving Him, we will not miss our year of Jubilee; the Acceptable Year of the Lord; The Year of My Redeemed; The Year of Liberty; Release, Holiness, Restoration, Peace, Prosperity, Protection, and Rest.

You may have noticed that I have been proclaiming on all of my postings, that we are in The Year of Our Lord.

As a Post Script, Jesus would have been 30 years of age when he proclaimed the Year of Jubilee which was the same year as He began His earthly ministry.  Because of my personal experience with a personal Jubilee in 1990, I know there is a literal manifestation of “Jubilee”.  The 50-year Leviticus pattern has been lost through time.  However, Jesus was “on time”.  The fulfillment of the acceptable year of the Lord was at the beginning of His public ministry.

From the time of Isaiah’s prophecy until the time of fulfillment was, as we know, long delayed.  It fell to the greater Prophet to announce the eventual arrival of the year of the Lord’s favor.  It was the same year as the Lord began His public ministry.

Isaiah 61:  10-11:  I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels.  For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”

The Jubilee years were connected with the Day of Atonement.  Every 7th year was a Sabbath, and every 50th year was a Jubilee.  After 7 Sabbaths of years (7 x 7 = 49), there was a Jubilee year.  The Hebrew word is “YOBEL” (#3104) and means “the blast of a horn (from its continuous sound); this was the signal of the two silver trumpets of the introduction of the festival.  “Jubilee, ram’s horn, trumpet” from #2986 means to flow or to bring with pomp.  Similar words are “watercourse, stream, produce, river, outgrowth; also a cry of joy, joyful shout, trumpet-signal, alarm.”
