Amos 1: 6-8: “Thus says the Lord; for three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof… (Vs.7) I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof. I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holds the scepter from Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron; and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord God.”
Ashdod, Ashkelon and Ekron are three cities of Gaza.
This is unfulfilled prophecy. There is today a remnant of the Philistines in Gaza.
There is a day coming when all of the enemies of Israel will totally perish. As I have shared, it is my persuasion that the Psalm 83 war began in March 2012. I am also of the “opinion” that the Gog/Magog war and the Psalm 83 war will converge at some time. My only reason for this “opinion” is that Iran is not among the 10-nation confederacy listed in Psalm 83.
Amos 9:11-15: “In that day (the day the Lord defeats all the enemies of his Kingdom), I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is “fallen, and close up the breaches thereof. I will raise up his ruins. I will build it as in the days of old. That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by name, says the Lord that does this. Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof. They shall make gardens and eat the fruit of them. I will plant them upon their land. They shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the Lord your God.”
I received a “sign” at the “America Ablaze Conference” this past week in Houston, TX.
After taking my conference seed offering to the front, on my return to my seat, I was handed a check for Eastgate double the amount of my offering. By the time, I reached my seat; I received another offering double the amount of my seed from Thursday night. I was literally overtaken with a double blessing.
You may have this happen to you on a regular basis. However, I have never had that happen before at another ministry’s conference.
Mahesh Chavda: “When Israel is on the move, the church is on the move.
We are watching the “warriors of Israel” arise and we have heard “the call to war”. This war is being waged in the heavenlies as well as in the nations of the earth.
We have known we were breaking into a prophetic hour and paradigm shift in the earth. We have felt the shaking and sifting as the Lord AGAIN tested the heart of each one of us individually and corporately.
As we here the voices coming from the earth, there is the voice, of faith, “arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.” Or there is the voice of fear.
Obadiah 1:1: “Thus says the Lord God concerning Edom (a type of all the enemies of Jesus and His Kingdom); we have heard a rumor from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.”
The United States again sent Secretary of State Kerry to Egypt to broker a peace agreement against the welfare and security of Israel.
Obadiah 1:10: “For the violence against your brother, Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever.”
Zephaniah 2 further confirms a day when Israel will possess the full spectrum of land promised to Abraham. Some are persuaded this will happen at the Second Coming of Christ. However, I believe at least part of this land will be returned as a result of these wars.
In Genesis 13, the Lord promised Abraham an enormous amount of land. The wars of the ages have been fought over the “promise to Abraham’s seed (Jesus Christ) and the Promised Land.
Gal. 3:16: "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to your seed, which is Christ."
God was and is faithful to keep his covenant by giving the promise of Christ to those who will receive him, and the promise of the land to the seed of Abraham.
Heb. 11:8-9: “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.”
In Genesis 15, the Lord told Abraham there would be 400 years between the promise and the possession of the land.
After the 400 years of exile, Moses was the chosen deliverer to deliver his people from their exile in Egypt. In Numbers 34, it is written that the Lord spoke to Moses to command the children of Israel to possess the land. In Numbers 34 the Lord set forth the boundaries of the Promised Land. However, it was Joshua who entered, conquered, possessed and divided Canaan. Joshua is a book of the victory and fulfilled promises of the Lord.
As Christians we receive all the promises and blessings of Abraham by faith and through the Seed, Jesus Christ.
Faith is “the victory that overcomes the world.”
Joshua and the Israelites were called to possess the Promised Land. They had to surmount formidable obstacles, engage in protracted warfare, and overcome fierce foes before they enjoyed the land.
The certainty of the fulfillment of the Divine purposes is seen in the judgment of the Canaanites and the grace bestowed upon Israel to possess the promise.
Joshua 11:18-20: – Joshua made war a long time (7 years) with all those kings. There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel except the Hivites; all other they took in battle. It was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly…”
Joshua defeated 31-kings and took a vast amount of the Promised Land. However, he did not take it all.
The Lord says a strange thing to Joshua which I find sobering, “Joshua was old and stricken in years. (He was 85 years old when he succeeded Moses.) The Lord said to him, “You are old and stricken in years; there remains yet very much land to be possessed.”
- All the borders of the Philistines.
- All Geshuri (a province of Syria).
- From Sihor (before Egypt to Ekron)
- The 5 lords of the Philistines (Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, Ekron).
- The Avites
- Many others in the south and the north. (13: 4-6)
About 400 years later King David and King Solomon expanded the Promised Land into an even-greater Israel. David had many battles with the Philistines, and subdued them, but never totally defeated them.
1 Ki. 4:21: “Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines…”
This was as good as the possession of the land ever became. The Assyrians, Babylonians, Medes and Persians, Greeks, Romans, Germans, etc. have all tried to destroy not only the Jews, but their promise of the Land. It is the battle of the ages between the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world under the power of the spirit of anti-Christ.
On May 14, 1948, Israel was restored as a nation. The battle has raged almost without ceasing on one or more of their borders.
The Promised Land yet to be possessed includes parts of Jordan, Gaza, West Bank, portions of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.
Out of the present day Syrian civil war a Terrorist regime by the name of ISIS arose. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria are a self-proclaimed caliphate.
This group claims religious authority over all Muslims. They aspire to bring the Muslim inhabited regions of the world under its direct control. The area they aspire to rule is known as the Levant region in the eastern Mediterranean, which includes Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Kuwait, and southern Turkey.
This area is the crossroads of Western Asian, Eastern Mediterranean, North-East Africa, and North West of the Arabian plate.
These are Sunni Muslims who have acted with brutal violence directed at Shia Muslims and Christians.
They are equipped with stolen U.S.A. uniforms, artillery, helicopters and a stolen air cargo plane. This group is reported to be only 4000 in number.
Levant means “rising of the sun in the east” and “the place of rising”.
Isaiah 59:18-19: “According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompense. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”
In chapter 59, the prophet preaches a message declaring the Lord’s displeasure with the wide-spread iniquity.
This week I pondered an interesting scripture which is repeated five times in the Holy Bible. “The entering in of Hamath” This is the northern boundary of the Promised Land. Hamath is located in Western Syria. Hamas Terrorists Organization is bombing Israel from Gaza. They also maintain at least two locations in Syria. It is a consideration that the bombs coming from Gaza could be a diversion for ISIS which is financed by Iran and Syria.
Zephaniah 2: “Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;…See the Lord all you meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness; it may be you shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation; they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy you, that there shall be no inhabitant. The sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for the Lord their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity…. (Vs. 10) This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the Lord of hosts. The Lord will be terrible to them; for He will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship Him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.”
Israel is again waging war against the remnant of the Philistines in Gaza. As the war escalates, I believe we will see each one of the ten nations become part of modern-day Israel.
When this is fulfilled, Israel will be at least 15 times its present size.
Psalm 2:1: “Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed…”
