PHARAOH'S HARDENED HEART

PHARAOH’S HARDENED HEART

Sunday, July 19, 2015, the Year of Our Lord

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

The principle of Pharaoh is a type of Satan, the god and prince of the world system (11 Cor. 4:4).  In Exodus 7, the Lord spoke to Moses saying, I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.

I feel the Lord spoke to me that He has hardened Barrack Hussein Obama’s heart.

In 2014, the Lord spoke to me that he had declared Obama impotent on three levels:

  1. The nations of the world.
  2. In our nation.
  3. In his marriage.

We watched as he lost respect of the world leaders.  He lost the 2014 election in the United States and his popularity fell.  Michelle Obama stated publically that she was a single parent---indication of a rift in the marriage.

Obama has not repented of his evil policies, but has escalated.  Below is a short list of his “in-your-face” defiance of God internationally, nationally, and regarding marriage.

Internationally:

  1. He has refused to deal with ISIS who escalated their campaign of terror in July 2014.
  2. He refused to identify or recognize our enemy by the name Islamist Terrorists.
  3. He sent into Israel a campaign staff to defeat Netanyahu.
  4. He has refused to assist our allies in the Ukraine from the Russian aggression.
  5. His refusal to deal with Syria’s use of chemical weapons.
  6. He has entered into an agreement with Iran in direct opposition with our allies in the Persian Gulf and as most say guarantees Iran will build a nuclear bomb.

United States:

  1. He has aligned himself with lawlessness against the Police forces.
  2. He has aligned himself with illegal aliens against American citizens.
  3. He has demoralized our armed forces by admitting gays and transgenders.
  4. He has removed many generals and other officers in the armed forces.
  5. He continues to advocate legalization of marijuana---smoking grass ---same principle as Nebuchadnezzar eating grass.
  6. No protection for our men in uniform.

Marriage:

  1. His administration in agreement with the Supreme Court of the United States has legalized gay marriage, thus undermining the God given law that marriage is Holy between a man and woman.

All three branches of the government of the United States have not shown that they  care about any of the above sins of the President; nor do the majority of Americans care.  I had one young woman tell me that even if we have martial law, it won’t change our day to day lives.

The Lord brought ten great judgments upon Pharaoh and the land of Egypt.

Exodus 7: 1-5: “The Lord said to Moses…I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.  But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, that I may lay My hand upon Egypt and bring forth My armies and My people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.  The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”

The great judgments parallel the great judgments of the Book of Revelation, and speak of those great acts of God which are bringing and will bring God’s people into glorious liberty.

The plagues demonstrated that Jehovah was high above all gods (18:11).

They furnished a complete testing (the number 10) (Rev. 2:10; Dan. 1:12).

They were a warning to other nations (Josh. 2: 8-9; 1 Sam. 4:8).

They were a temptation to Israel (Deut. 4:33-34; Ex. 15:11).

Arrangement of the Ten Plagues:

  1. The first three touched the comfort of the Egyptians.
  2. The second three brought judgment to the possessions of the Egyptians.
  3. The third three brought desolation and death.
  4. The tenth plague is unique and stands by itself.

A warning precedes in each instance the first and the second of the plagues; but with the third and each series, no warning is given.  There was no warning given before the 3rd, the 6th, and the 9th plague.

The first three plagues fell on the children of Israel as well as on the Egyptians.  After this the Lord kept his own walking in immunity to the plagues.  He provided safety and protection for His people.  Through this process, God established in the hearts of his people that Moses was the chosen deliverer of Jehovah.

The Ten Plagues provide a vivid description of the WORLD SYSTEM

  1. The water turned into blood tells of death covering the world.
  2. The multiplying of the frogs speaks of unclean spirits in the world.
  3. The lice reveal the uncleanness and the filth of the world.
  4. The swarms of flies speak of those who sons are sons of Beelzebub (Satan).
  5. The cattle disease reveals that the service of natural man is corrupted.
  6. The boils describe the condition of the worldly (Isa. 1:6).
  7. The hail tells us that the wrath of God abides upon the disobedient.
  8. The locusts speak of the barren desolation of worldly living.
  9. The darkness tells us that the world is alienated from the light.
  10. The death of the firstborn foretells of the Second Death (Rev. 2:11).

He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.”

The work of the Holy Spirit in the Church will bring forth a corporate Body of Christ who will be overcomers.  I believe the Lord is raising up in the earth a corporate man.  The name of this corporation is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST whose head is Jesus and whose BODY is the CHURCH.  This Body is made up of many members but is one Man.  This corporation has legal ownership of all things.  The strength of this corporation is in its unity.

Remember last week when I was preaching/teaching on the “man who God chooses”.  He empowers him by His grace through the Holy Spirit.

Without the work of the Holy Spirit, we are utterly incapable of producing or performing one holy duty or activity.

John 15:5: “Abide in me and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me.

1 Co. 15:10: “By the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

In Exodus 1-4, we see that God begins his purposes with a man (Moses, then Jesus) and fulfills his purposes in a body of nation of people.  We are that Holy Nation.  The nation was:

  1. Kept during the hour of trial.
  2. Delivered by the Blood, the Water and the Spirit (1 Jn. 5:8).

(a)   BLOOD (Ex. 12: 13, 37) This speaks of Jesus’ blood.

(b)   WATER (Ex. 14-15) This speaks of water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.  At this first baptism (Red Sea),

Israel escaped Egypt and were delivered from the dominion of

       Pharaoh. (Ro. 6: 1-14).

(c)    SPIRIT (Ex. 13:20-22).  This speaks of the Holy Ghost Baptism.  This second baptism (in the cloud) provided God’s people with leadership, rain, shade, comfort, shelter, light, fellowship--- Shekinah Glory.

The Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.  He did not take away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.”

3.        SUPERNATURALLY SUPPLIED: (Psa. 78: 14-32)

             (a) BREAD (Ex. 16) This speaks of the WORD          .

             (b) WATER (Ex. 17) This speaks of the SPIRIT.

4.  INSTRUCTED:

              (a) The principle of Holiness (11 Tim. 2: 19-23).

              (b)  The principle of justice.

5.  SIFTED: Everyone was disqualified from going into the promised land except

Joshua and Caleb because of murmuring, carnality, rebellion and

                      Unbelief.

Pharaoh (Satan) gave burdens to Israel.   The initial demand of Moses was the desire to freely worship the living God.

Ex. 5:1: “…thus says the Lord God of Israel, Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.  Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go?  I know not the Lord neither will I let Israel go.  They said, the God of the Hebrews has met with us; let us go, we pray you, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice to the Lord our God; less He fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword… (Vs.6) Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying no longer give the people straw to make brick, as you have done before.  Let them go and gather straw for themselves.”

The additional burden (gather straw as well) reveals that the one who refuses to repent becomes more impenitent, more defiant, more lawless, until the Lord abandons him to his own ways to partake of judgment.

I believe this is what has happened to Obama.  He has refused to repent and has become increasingly defiant of God and his people.

The Israelites instead of crying unto the Lord, the leaders turned unto Pharaoh for relief.  This was a real trial for Moses who turned to God in prayer.   The people of our nation are still believing the government leaders of our nation will be their deliverance in the face of great tribulation.  Two years ago when I was in D.C. for the N.D.P., the Lord spoke to me that we cannot trust any branch of our government.

In 2014, we elected a Republican congress whose authority should be able to resist the anti-Christian administration of Obama.  They have done nothing.

Pharaoh’s magicians duplicated the miracle of the rod by the power of Satan.  This reveals the present supernatural confrontation between the Son of God and the son of Satan.  God’s rod (Kingdom Government) swallowed up the rods of the magicians.  They withstood Moses.  They resist the truth.  They are men of corrupt and depraved minds.  They are reprobate concerning the faith.  They shall proceed no further.  They are full of folly (madness).  They folly shall be manifest (made conspicuous) to all men.

Here is a picture of the beast system endeavoring to wear out the saints as spoken by Daniel (Dan. 7:25).

We will close with the I Will’s of Jehovah:

  1. “I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians” (6:7)
  2. “I will rid you out of their bondage.” (6:6)
  3. “I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments.”(6:6)
  4. “I will take you to Me for a people.” (6:7)
  5. “I will be to you a God.” (6:7)
  6. “I will bring you in unto the land.” (6:8)
  7. “I will give it to you for a heritage.” (6:8)

These seven promises begin and end with the words, I am the LORD.” These words are enclosed in a frame-work of Divine assurance.

The name of the one who sent Moses is I AM THAT I AM.

Jesus said: I am the bread of life.  I am the light of the world.  I am the door.  I am the resurrection and the life.  I am the way, the truth and the life.  I am the true vine.  I am the good Shepherd.

I am persuaded that Obama has hardened his heart against all that is God.  He thinks he is spiting and taking revenge on those who have resisted his government.

The rod of Moses became the rod of God.

  1. The rod is the emblem of God’s chosen priesthood (1 Pet. 2:9).
  2. The rod is the scepter of the kingdom (governmental authority).
  3. The rod is also a branch.
  4. The rod is a rod of correction.
  5. The rod of the man-child, or he that overcomes (Rev. 2:26-29; 12:1-5).

The rod shall roar our of Zion in High Priestly ministry.

The operation of the rod speaks of the authoritative ministry of the sons of God during the Day of the Lord.  This company is the branch man and the extension of the Kingdom power of Jehovah in the earth.

Moses had to proclaim, speak and declare the Word of the Lord to Pharaoh.  We must arise in the authority of the Kingdom of God and do likewise.
