GLOBAL SHAKING

GLOBAL SHAKING

Sunday, June 4, 2016, the Year of Our Lord

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

Global shaking has begun.  Floods, it is cold where it should be hot and hot where it should be cold,  hurricanes, droughts, fires, earthquakes, and volcanoes are the travail of natural creation, the birth pangs of a new day.

Political upheaval in the United States will cause a global shaking of nations economically as well as international power shifts.

Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” (Heb. 12: 28-29)

This shaking of the heavens and earth will resurrect the army of the Lord and release all things into one!  The present move of the Holy Spirit will revive the fear of the Lord.

We have a nation who has no fear of the Lord.  Without a healthy reverence and awe for the Lord, there is no motivation for people to live a righteous life.

The Lord has raised up a “voice” who has shaken the pundits and publicans of the United States of America.  This same “voice” threatens other nations of the world.

This month Donald J. Trump meets with many spiritual leaders in the United States.  I pray they will not present themselves as Pharisees and politicians.  If they do, Donald J. Trump will see right through them and expose these religious spirits just as he has exposed the false pundits and 'publicans.

Psalm 98: 6-9: “With trumpets and sounds of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the king.  Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof, the world (tebal), and they that dwell therein.  Let the floods clap their hands; let the hills be joyful together before the Lord; for He comes to judge the earth with righteousness shall he judge the world (tebal), and the people with equity(truth).”

As we continue this study of the present shaking of the world, we need to clearly identify the different meanings of the words used for “world”.  Here the Hebrew word,  “tebal” (#H8398) refers to the inhabited part of the world.

The Greek word for “world” is kosmos and means “an order, system or arrangement of things.”  The cosmos is a mindset, a mentality, a way of thinking with its consequent life style.

(G165) "Aion" is the Greek word for “world” and is used when speaking of the end of the age, eternity, unbroken years.

When I prayed for the Las Vegas strip (a type of tebal), I took that area to the court of heaven and the “righteousness of Jesus Christ”.  I did not speak judgment, but in the presence of the righteousness of Christ, He shall judge the inhabitants (tebal) and the people with truth.

Joel 3:16: “The Lord shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake…”

This quake begins in the “heavens,” then echoes in the earth.  From heaven to earth, from spiritual to natural, from God to man---this is the pattern.  Heaven is the spiritual realm or abode of God, who is omnipresent Spirit.  The word for “earth” is the temporal scene of human activity, experience and history.  It denotes the whole planet.  Earth is the natural realm.

This celestial and terrestrial shaking also moves the “sea”.  In the Bible, the “sea” represents teeming masses of unregenerate humanity (Is. 57:20) as well as sea or ocean.

The overturning of all nations is defined in Haggai 2:22 as the complete overthrow and destruction of the throne and strength of all heathen kingdoms.  God rocks the heavens, the earth, the sea, and finally, the “dry land” or “desert,” parched or ruined through drought.  The Bible clearly defines the “dry land” to be rebellion and wickedness (Ps. 68:6l Ezek 30:12).

Hag. 2:7: “I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory says the Lord of hosts.”

This shaking of all nations has a singular result:  The Desire of all nations shall come!  The “Desire of all nations” is the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, and our precious Savior.

This includes His Body in union with Him.  This is His elect out of nations, those whom God has from eternity foreknown and predestined, and whom in time He calls, justifies, and glorifies (Ro. 8:29-30).  Christ in and among all of us is the hope of glory.  God’s desire is for Christ to be fully formed in His people.

Global shaking will bring forth the divine expectation, a finished temple filled with His glory!

Our timeless God already sees them all, from first to last, as having come!

The shaking of all things brings the glory of the Lord!  God filled His house with glory in Exodus 4: 34-35, 1 Kings 8:11, and 2nd Chronicles 5:14.  He comes suddenly to His temple in Malachi 3:1.  The Messiah, the King and Lord of glory is the ultimate house filled with the glory of Jehovah’s name and nature.

Jn. 1:14: “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.  We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only…”

Hag. 2:8:  The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of hosts.”

The Lord now takes up another matter that had disturbed the remnant---insufficient funds.  In the days of Solomon, gold had been so plentiful that silver counted for little (1 Ki. 10:21).  The mighty ruler of the universe moved on the rulers of this world, Cyrus and Darius, to give liberally and lavishly for the purpose of rebuilding Zerabbabel's Temple (Ezra. 1:1-11; 6:1-12).  The global aftershock of God’s quake shakes the silver and gold, releasing riches in two dimensions:

  1. The shaking of the earth---the nations and the denominations---transfers natural riches into His Church and Kingdom (Is. 60; Rev. 21-22).   This is why we must pray for the leaders of the denominations as they are meeting with Donald J. Trump.  If he discerns any fake or selfish motives, he will again use his “voice” to shake them.
  2. The shaking of the heavens---the imaginations---converts the spiritual riches, the silver (redemption) and the gold (divine nature), into His Church and Kingdom (2 Cor. 10:3-6; 1 Pet. 1:5).

Is. 60:5: “…the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come” (NIV)

First, natural resources are shaken loose (Deut. 8:18; Ps. 49:10).   The natural riches of the nations and denominations will flow into His one holy Nation.  The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just (Prov. 13:22).  The creativity of the Holy Ghost will produce an abundance.  Jesus Christ is our heavenly Joseph.  He is the Lord of the harvest.  He is a mighty man of wealth (Gen. 41: 37-46).

Worldwide shaking will shake loose the “silver” and the “gold.”  That happened when Moses and the Israelites bankrupted Egypt and received 400 years of back wages.  Similarly, the edict of Cyrus released funds to rebuild Zerubbabel’s Temple.  God’s abundance is wealth to be distributed by which every nation is to be evangelized with the gospel of the Kingdom.

The streaming of the Gospel is always foremost in our church budget.  We stream on the website, post the sermons and Bible Studies to the data base as well as Mail Chimp and Facebook.  We have now expanded the budget to include U-Tube.  We are covering the “world” and the “earth” with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the internet.

Psa. 24:1-2: “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world (tebal) and they that dwell therein.  He has founded it upon the seas, and established is upon the floods.”

He has opens an expense account for those whom He sends (Ezra 6:8).  We are heirs together with the One who possesses heaven and earth (Gen. 14:22).  As Owner, God can transfer His wealth from one to another whenever He wills.  The usurpers had hoped to bring the ministry to a halt, but were ordered to pay the temple costs from royal revenue in their own taxation district (Ezra 6: 8-12).

Ps. 2:8: “Ask of Me, and I shall give you the heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.”

This shaking in the heavenlies releases the “silver,” the Bible symbol for redemption.  Up till now, evangelism has consisted of fish changing tanks---bored transplants who want to be entertained by the latest popular personality.  That, of course, is not Eastgate Ministries Church.  We have a group of people who are pressing in and hungry for a relationship with the Lord.  We can have no other motive.  Out of relationship with the Lord will flow all the fullness of the Godhead.

Evangelism in the Feast of Pentecost is the pledge of what will be seen in the reality of Tabernacles.  The spiritual quake will also produce much “gold,” the biblical symbol for the divine nature.  The fulfillment of the last feast will gather the harvest of the Holy Spirit’s fruit in His people (Gal. 5:22-23).  The silver and the gold is the Lord’s and is shaken loose in the Day of the Lord!

Hag. 2:9: “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts.”

The Bible unfolds the increasing procession of glory from Adam in the garden to Abraham on the plains of Mamre, from Moses’ tabernacle to Solomon’s temple and then the second temple, from the Lord Jesus to the corporate fullness of His glorious Church.

The One who is the First and the Last will complete His purpose.  The Lord has promised to fill His house with a “greater” glory.  In the Old Covenant, God’s dwelling place was confined to one nation, the people of Israel.  In the New Covenant, it includes every nation, kindred, tongue and people (Rev. 14:6).  The greater glory is the higher glory of the Most Holy Place and the “more excellent ministry” of Jesus Christ after the order of Melchisedec, the high priestly realm (Heb. 8: 1-6).

The former glory is the former rain; the “latter” or greater glory is the latter rain.  Historically, the former rain took place in the Book of Acts; the “latter rain” began to fall during the restoration of the Pentecostal revival (1900-1906), and it has continued through 1948-1956 to the present.  The former rain is explained in Acts 2:38 and 1 John 5:8; the latter rain, the greater or surpassing glory (2 Cor. 3:10), is revealed in Eph. 4:13.  In the former rain, Jesus Christ is the Alpha, the beginning; in the latter rain, he is the Omega, the end, the completion.

The Scriptures promise an end-time outpouring of both the former and latter rains (Hos. 6:3; Joel 2:23).

“In this place will I give peace.”

The New Testament Church is the heavenly Jerusalem (Gal. 4:21-31; Heb. 12: 22-24).  Jesus Christ is the King of Salem, the King of Peace (Heb. 7:2).   The Body of Christ is the habitation of peace by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus our glorious Head is our peace.  Global shaking cannot disturb peace that abides.

Our sole motivation must be to identify with a true work of the Holy Ghost in our generation.  The church continues to struggle to get free from hassles, undercurrents, murmurings, complaining, and unresolved discord.

Throughout the Old Testament the Feast of Tabernacles is often strategically centered in places of great struggle and spiritual warfare.  God’s army is made for the storm (Ps. 50: 1-5).

The Church will be a city of refuge in the time of global seizures and shaking.  There are many who are bitter and unforgiving toward the Church universal.  Apologize.  Bend.  Make things right.  Pray…then obey.  The house of God must undergo a stability, strength, unity and common covenantal bond that nothing can shake apart.  The place of preservation will be the place of unbreakable relationships.

The greater glory for most will be rediscovered in the rubble of their present situation, the current ruined state of things.  Discouragement robs you of purpose and calling.

The latter house of greater glory is the many-membered Body of Christ.  This living temple is made up of individual stones, and each stone must make his calling and election sure.   Each member must maintain a personal altar of devotion.
