SEVENTY NATIONS AND THE SONS OF GOD

Acts 17:26: Jesus has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all of the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.
Genesis chapter 10 and 11 constitute what is known as “The Table of Nations” in the Bible.
I promise to not get in the “weeds” with this teaching. There are brilliant minds who have charted out The Table of Nations throughout the Bible in many books. If you have any questions, I refer you to those postings.
Throughout the Holy Writ, we have an indication that faith and inspiration are not concerned with the imparting of unknown facts of no spiritual importance.
My quest today was triggered and hopefully “inspired” while I was preaching Sunday morning on the seventy faithful followers Jesus sent out to go before Him into every city and place where He Himself would go. They were sent to declare and deposit the Kingdom of God (Holy Nation) into whatever city they entered. If they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. Heal the sick that are therein and say to them, the Kingdom of God is come near to you. They went from city to city declaring the King and His Kingdom has come. Because the Kingdom of God had come, they were able to work miracles in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Just as they blessed those who believed, those who would not receive them, they were told go your way out into the streets. Even the very dust your city which cling on us, we do wipe against you; notwithstanding be sure of this, the kingdom of God is come near to you. But I say to you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. (Lk. 10:1-11)
Just as Luke 10 defines the peoples of the Kingdom of God, Genesis 10 is the Table of Nations.
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, he separated the sons of men; he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. For the LORD's portion are his people, Jacob his allotted heritage... (Deut. 32:8-9)
Jewish tradition refers to global humanity as the “70 nations.” It would seem to me as it is Heaven, so it is in the earth. The seventy nations are a type and shadow of the sons of God who will inherit the earth. Also the “seventy” are a prophetic type of the sons of God of, He that overcomes and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations. (Rev. 2:26)
I ask you just as the Jews divided the earth into seventy nations under the divine order of God, Jesus sent out the seventy under the authority of the Son of God announcing His sovereign rule over the Kingdoms of the earth and His salvation to the ends of the earth?
Mat. 28:19: Go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 13:47: For so has the LORD commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
In the 21st Century, there are almost 200 nations. Jewish tradition refers to global humanity as the “70 nations.”
Gen. 9:1: God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them; “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.”
The sons of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth re-peopled the earth (Gen. 8:18-19).
Gen. 10:21-25: Unto Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born… Unto Eber were born two sons; the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
Eber is the root word for Hebrew.
Genesis 10:25: gives the earliest division of men after the confusion of tongues and before the division of the earth into continents and islands which took place in the days of Peleg.
Earth Creationists interpret this verse to refer to the continent of Pangaea which is now split into modern continents.
Pangea was the continent on Earth that was comprised of all the continents that we know today. Pangea, also called Pangaea, was a massive supercontinent that divided into seven continents.
Personally, I am a creationists because I believe the LORD GOD created the earth, the heavens, the stars, moon, the plants, animals and a man. I believe the flood covered the whole earth and the only survivors were Noah and his family.
Shem the second son of Noah is mentioned last in the table of nations because his seed was to be the important subject of the remainder of the Old Testament as the line through whom the Messiah would come. Jesus Christ, the Son of Man descended from Shem.
Shem’s five sons went toward Arabia:
1. Elam – Persians
2. Asshur – Assyrians.
3. Arphaxad – Settled in Chaldea – Jews.
4. Lud – Lydians.
5. Aram – Syria
Ham’s four sons went toward Africa.
1. Cush- Ethiopia.
2. Mizraim – Egypt.
3. Phut – Africa, Moors, Muritanians.
4. Canaan – Canaanites (11 sons) – These were the “thorns” in Israel’s side. God told Israel to exterminate them.
Japheth (enlargement, let him spread out, widespread, latitude, increase, expansion, unfoldment.)
From Japheth will descend the enlarged races: Government, science and art. The seven sons of Japheth went toward Europe and Asia:
1. Gomer – Romans, Gauls, Galatians, Germans, Celts, Britons.
2. Magog – Scythians, Chinese, Japanese, Alaskans, Tartars, Red Indians, Russians.
3. Madai – Medes
4. Javan – Grecians and Syrians.
5. Tubol – Peopled the region south of the Black Sea. A branch of this people settled in Spain.
6. Mesheck – Cappadocians and possibly Russians.
7. Tiras – Thracians.
Gen 10:5By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
There are a people in the earth who will be kept during the hour of trial. These overcomers are partakers of the Throne of God and shall inherit the earth while living in the earth. These sons of God are hidden in the womb of the woman (Church). Rev. 12:5: She brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Jesus Christ is the “seed” of the nation of Israel and the man child is birthed through the marriage of Jesus Christ and the Bride of Christ, the Church.
Mat. 16:19: I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Psa. 98:3: He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
1 Pe. 2:9: You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light, who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Rev. 5:9 – They sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and open the seals thereof; for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. And have made us unto our God Kings and priest and we shall reign on the earth.
Our God repeatedly took a man and created a nation. He took Shem, Ham, Japheth, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Esau, Jacob/Israel, and Ephraim. From the loins of each man, He created a nation. Let us consider how awesome God is to create an entire nation through a man.
Jesus Christ has all authority over Heaven, all the earth, and under the earth and He restored that authority to the Sons of God. All creation is waiting for the revealing of the Sons of God. While many are being prepared for this calling, no one has yet come to the fullness of the stature of Christ.
Some of us have been given the earnest of this blessed estate. However, we must not mistake the earnest for the fullness.
The seventy were astonished at their success, and especially at their power in casting out devils through the name of Jesus, Jesus admonished the seventy to not be proud and boastful about this power: Luke 10:18-20: I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Do not rejoice abut the devils being subject to you. There is a matter which ought to make you far more joyful; rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.
Psalm 37 declares such as are blessed of the LORD shall inherit the earth; and they who are cursed of Him shall be cut off.
I believe we will see a man-child company arise from the loins of the Church and like the sons of God be given the nations.
