GOD’S POWER OVER LEVIATHAN

Today’s sermon will be a different flow of the Spirit than my usual teaching/preaching messages. Today the sermon will be spiritual warfare against leviathan, that crooked serpent, that piercing serpent. At the onset of the China virus, I preached a message on leviathan and the fiery red dragon (April 26, 2020). During these many weeks of spiritual warfare, Prophetess Phyllis Garrett, Prayer Net has asked me to address the dragon weekly at her prayer meeting. Perhaps Clay Nash saw the message in April, or perhaps the Spirit of the Lord moved on him to send me the following text.
Text from Clay Nash 7/24/20: “I am in Austin. I had a dream last night about Texas. It came after releasing a prophetic word in meeting here in Austin last night about God dropping a plumb line over Texas. In the dream, I was lifted up above a body of water in Texas and leviathan was in the water. When the hand of God dropped the plumb-line, the plumb-bob began to swing and strike the back of leviathan. It would slice him on his back. He then began to bite himself and eventually locked into his own body and wrestle with itself only to begin to sink and turn. As it sunk, you could see it on the bottom of the lake stirring up mud and mudding the entire lake. I feel the Lord showed me this morning the lake is Lake LBJ. Just thought I should release this to you. Praying into dream you had” (Clay Nash).
Unknown to Brother Nash, the LORD led me to pray Friday morning (7/24/20) on Prayer Net, the following:
Job. 41:1: Oh Lord I pray you draw out leviathan with your hook. I pray you snare his tongue of lies with your line (cord) which you lower.
This is identical to Apostle Nash’s vision of the plumb-line of God being lowered from the hand of God.
In Job 41, the LORD is challenging Job that Job has no power to deal with leviathan; but God has full power. So, I prayed 7/24/20 for the LORD to release HIS POWER for the defeat and destruction of the dragon.
In Job 41, God describes in the metaphor of a sea monster the mystery of iniquity and son of perdition described by Paul in 2 Thess. 2: 8-9: And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
It is written that Satan is doomed for defeat and destruction by the brightness of Christ’s presence. I don’t like to preach on Satan or give him the time of day; but the fact is we are in a very real spiritual battle. I pray that all I preach establishes the covenantal centrality and supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ. All spiritual warfare must be waged from the posture of Jesus’ finished work. Our Lord rests within the rent veil, the enthroned ruler over all enemies. We must stand and fight from the perspective of solid resurrection ground. If we do not, we will do no more than cover ourselves with sweat and beat the air.
Rev. 19:15-16: Out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. He has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
I considered that I should ask God to release His Great Power over the dragon/leviathan. as He, Himself, has declared His Words in Job 41:
O’ Lord Jesus I pray you draw out the dragon with your hook. I pray you snare his tongue of lies with your line (cord) which you lower. I ask O’ Lord that you put a reed (branch of a rod) into his nose. Thank you, O’ Lord that you have bored his jaw through with thorns. I ask you O’ Lord to close his mouth of seductions and flattering words being spoken through the media. O’ Lord Jesus I pray you break the covenant of China, the media, congress and the political spirit with death and with Sheol. O’ Lord when the overflowing darkness passes through, your Word says it will not come to us. O’ LORD many government leaders, media and China have made lies their refuge and under falsehood have hidden themselves (Isa. 28).
Lord Jesus Christ I ask you to forgive the church and our nation for playing with Leviathan like he was a bird and making a pet of him. LORD reveal to your anointed ones our power to chain the dragon and to bruise the head of the dragon who is giving the beast system its power. You O’ LORD gave your Church power to chain the dragon. I ask you by your great power to fill his skin (covering/pride) with barbed irons, and riddle his hide with darts. I ask you to attack his head with fish spears and darts. I ask you O’ Lord Jesus to lay your hand upon the dragon; and the church will arise to bruise his head according to the power given to us (Gen. 3;15).
Rom. 16:20 - And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
O’ Lord everything that is under the whole heaven is yours including China, the riots, the nations of the earth, and the one world order. The power of leviathan and the god of war over the China seas are defeated. O’ Lord God we ask you to expose the lies and reveal the truth through the power of your word of might. O’ LORD I ask you to close the seal of the mark of the beast. Out of the mouth of Satan goes burning lamps and sparks of fire in deception. O’ Lord I pray you close the mouth of the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. I pray O’ Lord that you break the power of the prince of darkness over the cities of the United States of America. I pray you go before us as the “Breaker” to break the intimidation and the spirit of terror being stirred by china, the political spirit and our spiritual leaders.
O’ Lord God, I pray that you will not conceal Satan’s parts, nor his power. Nor his comely proportion. He has been stripped by Jesus. God, I pray that you expose the lies and reveal the truth. Only you O’ God can open the doors of his face and expose his teeth.
The Son of perdition is doomed for defeat and destruction by the brightness of Jesus’ presence. O Lord out of the brightness of your presence lightning blazes forth.
Psa. 18:12 - Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
2 Thess. 2:1-3: Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that they day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition;
PRAYER NET 7/10/20: “...the Lord rebuke you, O Satan." Jesus the serpent-bruiser is also the dragon-slayer.
Lord Jesus in agreement with your Word, we declare that all things are now accomplished. The warfare is accomplished. We appropriate the bounty of your Victory. As the Son of Man, you defeated the evil one on his own turf. Our Lord's victory over Satan disintegrated the devil's kingdom, denied him power over death, and divested him of all his authority. Every true prophet speaks to the heart of the Church declaring the name of the Lord and his power over the Church. The weapons of our warfare are mighty "through God." We sit, walk and stand postured in the heavenlies in your victory.
Lord Jesus, we the church refuse to emphasize the bad news about the devil and his crowd. With our eyes fixed on you Jesus, we declare your great victory over the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet, the unholy trinity, to kill, steal and destroy.
Satan is the deceiver of the whole world (Rev. 12:9) through the medium of the spirit of fear and intimidation. By the power of the goodness of God, we ask you O’ God to go before us as the breaker to break the power of the sower of discord that subtracts and divides. We ask you to break Satan's power as the emptier, and as the tempter through the power of suggestion and mind control of the mouth of the beast. I sever and cut the dragon's power over the beast system.
The fiery Red Dragon grew up from the serpent. The serpent "whispers" perverted wisdom. He is the father of lies. He cannot tell the truth. Leviathan is the serpent in the sea literally as the god of war and metaphorical over unredeemed humanity. By the power of the Blood of Jesus we break the power of prince of the power of the air whereby Satan is ruling over the China virus.
Lord Jesus I ask that you turn toward our nation and cause your face to shine upon your church in mercy that Your Church will arise in your light that we may push back the darkness of the ruler of darkness. By grace, release your power over the wicked one with the cruel and pernicious attacks of the mob. We break the spirit of murder which is fueled by hate. We break the power of the Wolf preying upon the Church.
PRAYER – 7/3/20:
The only battles the enemy has won are those in which we did not engage the enemy.
Jesus the serpent-bruiser is also the dragon-slayer. Jesus came to the planet to defeat the devil on his own territory.
I declare the ancient serpent that became a dragon is totally defeated. We, the Church overthrow the great red dragon by the authority of the Word and the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. The shed blood of the Passover Lamb gives us the right to speak and declare God victory. Rev. 12: 7-11, Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels; and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world; he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ; for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused us before our God day and night. We overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony; and we love not our lives unto the death.
This is a finished work at the Cross. We are to walk and live in this plateau in Christ.
“Lord lift me up and let me stand by faith on Heaven’s table land, a higher plane that I have found, Lord plant my feet on higher ground.”
Isa.59:19- So shall
they fear
The name of the LORD from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard
against him.
The great dragon of the Apocalypse is represented by Isaiah in chapter 51:13 as the “the fury of the oppressor” preparing to destroy. The unholy trinity is to kill, steal and to destroy.
O’ Lord Jesus, as surely as you have made a pathway for your people through the mighty waters, and brought us to your Presence and glory; so surely you will guarantee a safe conduct for your ransomed Church in all ages.
The dragons of china are intimidators of satanic rage and power. They are financially supporting the rioters and looters. You O’ Lord are our maker who has declared your power over the dragon and the communist China party, “whatsoever is under the whole heaven is yours” (Job. 41:11).
Church, America and the nations of the earth, it is the Lord who comforts you; who are you, that you should be afraid of men who shall die, and of the sons of man which shall be made as grass. Put your trust in the Lord your maker who stretched forth the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. Why do you O’ nations of the earth fear and cower down continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor? (Isa. 51: 12-13)
We have an adversary, but Jesus defeated him at the cross! We are engaged in spiritual warfare, the good fight of faith, ever confident in the complete triumph of our King. The warfare is accomplished; the victory was secured by the finished work of Christ Jesus. Our adversary is chained, but he still has influence. His purpose is to abort the Christ in us by robbing the Church of her God-given identity as the seed of Abraham and the seed of David.
Isa 45:3 - And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you that I, the LORD, which call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
