DEED OF PURCHASE - JEREMIAH 32: 38-44; 33:15; 23:5-6

DEED OF PURCHASE

Jehovah’s Eternal Covenant

Jeremiah 32: 38-44; 33:15-16; 23: 5-6

In Chapter 32:6, The Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah and instructed him saying, (7) “Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.  So Hanameel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the Lord, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; but it for yourself.  Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.”

Jeremiah was imprisoned by King Zedekiah during the siege of Jerusalem.  He was arrested when trying to go through the ring of enemy posts which hemmed in the city.  This was his lot for predicting the siege and defeat of the city. (32:1-5). Jerusalem has been under siege one year.  This is the year before Jerusalem fell. (587 B.C., the 10th year of Zedekiah).  The burning of the city and the desolation of Judah was almost at hand.

Jeremiah was confined in the courtyard of the guard because he was prophesying that the Babylonians would win the battle thus foretelling the destruction of Jerusalem.

Amid the gloom and despair of this hour, Jeremiah was commanded of God to buy a field in a public ceremony with witnesses and to put away the deed for safe keeping.  The covenant the Lord made with Jehovah was an eternal covenant.

32:40: I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

There are five (5) eternal covenants in the Bible which the Lord initiated with man.

  1. Noah:  Genesis 9:8
  2. Abraham: Genesis 17:3
  3. Davidic 11 Samuel 7:13
  4. Jeremiah 32: 37-44
  5. Ezekiel 37: 24

Again the Lord asks Jeremiah to do that which puts at risk his credibility.  God confirmed His word to Jeremiah by causing Hanameel to act in accordance with God’s words to Jeremiah (7-8).  In the natural, the circumstances seemed impossible of fulfillment.  The prophet prayed because he could not reconcile the implication of the buying of the field with his other prediction of the captivity.

This had to be an act of Faith by Jeremiah.  Faith is what would be required to activate and receive the miracle for the generations who would receive the blessing of the covenant.  By faith, Jeremiah purchased the field.

(9-15) “And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.  And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.  So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom and that which was open: and I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.  And I charged Baruch before them, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days, For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

The Lord’s promise to Jeremiah was that He would restore all to Israel inclusive of 22 blessings of happiness, prosperity, health, salvation, deliverance, restoration, redemption, peace, joy, love and blessedness. Etc.

Start with Verse 17-23, Jeremiah declares a 13-fold greatness of God:

  1. You have made heaven and earth by your great power and your outstretched arm.
  2. There is nothing too hard for you.
  3. You show loving kindness to thousands.
  4. God is Great
  5. He is a Mighty God.
  6. The Lord of Hosts is His Name
  7. Great in counsel
  8. Mighty in Work.
  9. Your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doing.
  10. He has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and in Israel, and among other men, as it is this day.
  11. He has made a name for Himself.
  12. He has brought forth His people out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders with a strong hand with out stretched arms and with great terror.
  13. He has given them this land, which He did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.

In verse 24-25, the city was given in the hand of the Chaldeans.  They ride in on swift mounts (horses usually mean flesh).  “They have come into the city to take it.”

Jeremiah is questioning the Lord.  He said, “What you have spoken has come to pass (v.24), and I know you see it.  O Lord God, you said for me to buy the field for money, and take witnesses.  Now the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”

(V.26-35) Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah saying, “Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?  Therefore thus says the Lord; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and he shall take it.”  Then is again listed all of the sins of the Israelites.

Verses 37-44 is the Eternal Covenant the Lord made with Jeremiah because of His faithfulness and his faith to obey him.

Behold I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:  And they shall be my people and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart ,and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them and of their children after them.  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.  Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plan them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.  For thus says the Lord, Like as I have brought all this great evil upon his people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.  And fields shall be bought in this and, whereof you say, It is given into the hand of the

Chaldeans.

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and  take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south; for I will cause their captivity to return says the Lord.

The U.S.A. is guilty of all of the sins of Judah at the time of the invasion of the Chaldeans.  The spirit of the Chaldeans has invaded our land.  California ia burning.  Our borders are at risk.    Israel's borders are being violated.  Our financial markets are at risk for bankruptcy.  The nations of the world are at risk of bankruptcy (the fall of Mystery Babylon).  We are in two wars and threatened by another one.  Holy marriage between a man and a woman is under attack.  The family is under attack.  Babies are being legallty killed.  Blasphemy abounds in all of our media.  Prophets are coming into agreement with Baal.  This was the condition of Israel at the time the Lord asked Jeremiah to purchase the field.

The covenant continues in chapter 33 and is the message of the Branch of Righteousness.  This is a teaching unto itself and I will teach this on Tuesday. The Lord gave me a vision of the Branch of the Lord in 1989.  I have shared it in the past with this church.

33:15:  “In those days and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he will execute judgment and righteousness in the land.  In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.

This is the great prophecy of the Davidic Kingdom fulfilled in Jesus Christ and the grafted branch of the gospel church.  We are branches which are an extension of him. (Jn. 15:1-5) The Davidic Covenant has to do with ruler ship, government and the throne of God which is the authority of God invested in the name or the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ.

These are chapters of God’s unbreakable promise.  After the purchase of the field by Faith, Chapter 33 is a song of the ultimate restoration.  The song first celebrates the restoration of the people and the cities.  Zion will once again become the center of family life and of joy and prosperity.  The establishment of the restored order is to be associated with the one who is described as the Branch of Righteousness.  In him are the two offices of King and Priest united.  God then says that His promise is not only sure but also gracious.

All the fullness of this eternal covenant is not only for restored Israel when they receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, but it is also for the Gospel Church.

This blessing comes to us through the Cross of Jesus, our Righteousness.

Today, if you would like to participate in a prophetic act to claim the redemption of all of your blessings and your inheritance, I have a Deed of Purchase which you can sign as an act of Faith and claim your inheritance.  Jesus paid the full price at the Cross for our redemption.  However, we must appropriate our inheritance from the Cross into our lives by Faith, The Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus.

The cost is $17.00 which is the number for victory.  As most of you know, I am not trying to hustle you for your $17.00.   I want your Faith to redeem in full victory all the Lord has promised you through the Blood of Jesus, His Righteous Branch.
