HE SEARCHETH ALL HEARTS
HE SEARCHETH ALL HEARTS
(Romans 8:27)
Sunday, February 20, 2022, the year of our Lord
Pastor Carolyn Sissom
When the LORD speaks to me by Word, the Holy Spirit or a visitation, I am always challenged above my understanding and/or capabilities. Then, there is always the struggle of “do I share this, or is it for me to hide in my heart?”
I had a dream on February 15, 2022 which I believe to be a visitation. I have compared it to two similar visitations which were also impartations in years past:
1. Dream around 1989: The Lord spoke to me in the dream: “Carolyn your faith has been purified in the fire seven times. Go and preach it.” I saw silver slippers placed on my feet. Psa. 12:6: The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
2. Dream around 1999: From a sound sleep, I awoke sitting straight up in bed. The LORD spoke to me (awake). He said, “Carolyn you have courage.” Since that day, I have never been afraid or experienced fear.
Both of these visitations changed my life and afterwards I became a different person through no concentrated effort, I just became.
This message is in no way intended to be about me, or my personal journey with the LORD. After prayer and confirmation from other ministers who have received similar messages, I believe this is a message to the Body of Christ from Him who “searcheth all hearts” (1 Ch. 28:9). May this message glorify Jesus Christ who gave us Faith and Love.
DREAM 2/15/22: The Lord spoke to me in the dream: “Carolyn I have searched the earth to find Faith. I have found Faith in you. Into Faith, I am releasing Love.” There was a powerful surge of Divine Love coming through my head like a mighty rushing force into my heart. I saw an image of a heart being imparted. I was again sitting straight up in bed (End of dream).
The LORD searches all hearts, then the message is not just for me, but for me to preach.
1 Ch. 28:9: As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, he will cast you off forever.
Rom. 8:27: Now, He (the LORD) that searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1 Co. 2:10-12: But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now, we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
Rev. 2:23: I will kill her (Jezebel) children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searches the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Reins: “Used of the inmost thoughts, feelings, purposes, of the soul.”
Heart: “The center and seal of spiritual life: the soul or mind. It is the fountain and seat of the thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes, endeavors.”
Luke 18:8b: When the Son of man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?
To put this scripture in context, Jesus was teaching the apostles to keep praying and never stop or lose hope. He shared with them the parable of the unjust judge. A poor widow kept pleading with the ungodly judge, “grant me justice and protect me against my oppressor.” Because the judge was annoyed with her persistence, he granted her request. Jesus told the apostles, “Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all of his elect who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out his spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for. God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting. Yet when the Son-of-man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faith on the earth?”
I asked the LORD, is this another one of the four signs you gave me in the dream of your coming which are now upon the earth and people do not recognize them?
Even Christians are becoming weary in well-doing. Many are negative and depressed. They give Satan the glory by giving him power over their lives. They have given-up, fainting and falling away. They magnify the works of the spirit of antichrist over the power of Christ. In short, many Christians are not living in the realm of faith. Whereas, Jesus admonished us to persist in prayer and in faith until the true Judge, Jesus Christ, grants us justice. Persistent Faith apprehends the mercy and justice of Christ. By prayer, mercy is received, then joy and love spring from the mercy received.
2 Th. 2:1-3: Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means, for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…
So now, what of my dream?
1. We have confirmed in the Word of God that the LORD searches all hearts and our inmost thoughts, feelings and purposes of the soul. In the dream, He said he had been searching the earth for Faith.
2. We have confirmed in the Word that when He returns, he will be looking for Faith and faithfulness.
3. According to Luke 18:1-8, the measuring stick of faith will be our persistence in prayer expecting justice and mercy from the True Judge.
4. So, what about the visitation of love?
“Faith worketh by love.”
Gal. 5:5-6: We through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
True faith will save us though it is as a grain of mustard seed, but then it must be true faith, not depending on any outward show of righteousness. “There must be heart in our faith and the Spirit of God breathing in it, or it will not be the living faith of a living child of God” (Spurgeon).
Before the impartation of “LOVE” on 2/15/22, I have been blessed with Faith, Hope and Love as a reality. Years ago, I was delivered from “need love,” i.e., “co-dependent love.” I made Jesus Christ the well-spring and fountain of my love source. I have been able to love freely from a full love-tank and yet receive love from others with no strings attached. During that time of deliverance, I experienced the “death of the carnal soul.” From that time, I have learned the grace of living in the Spirit, but also walking in the Spirit (Gal. 5:25).
So, what does this new impartation of “LOVE” feel like or look like? I don’t feel any different. I expect to just walk forward into this realm of Love. I can tell you in hindsight that my life changed dramatically when I received the “gift of Faith”; when I received “courage”; and when I was delivered from the pain of the carnal soul.
Robyn Thom Rogers also received a word this past week from the LORD on Faith. She texted it to me the day after her meeting here at Eastgate last Tuesday:
“There’s a lot of change happening in those chosen by the LORD---those who have truly surrendered all---those who are running the course---change is never comfortable. I know God is shaking, is stirring not just the nations, but the church, the leadership, those who carry the impartation of the LORD. I know being Spirit-fed and Spirit-led revolves around Faith---Faith is God leading us where reason cannot walk. You have experienced this again and again. I have no understanding altogether of what the Lord is doing. I know this, whatever he does always births revelation. Always strengthens our Faith causing us to continue the spiritual assignment set before us. We are in an hour where hell is revolting at the sound of the coming of the LORD.
Zech. 14:20-21: In that day shall be on the bridle of a horse: “Holiness to LORD JEHOVAH,” AND THE POTS THAT ARE IN THE HOUSE OF Lord Jehovah shall be like the plates that are before the altar. And every pot that is in Judea and in Jerusalem will be holiness to LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts, and all who sacrifice shall come; they shall take some of them and they shall cook in them, and there shall be no more a Canaanite in the house of LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts in that day. I hear people complaining of ministries shutting down in this hour---pastors falling, but it has never been about how many churches we have to trumpet Salvation’s Song, it is about clean hands and pure hearts yielded to the Father’s heart.” (R.T.R.)
“The great test of the working of saving faith is this---it “works by love.” Faith always produces love.” “Faith creates love as summer breeds flowers.” Love grows out of faith. Faith is the soul’s eye and its telescope by which it sees that which is so far off as to be otherwise invisible. Faith creates love. If Christ is yours, Faith can say, “Jesus is mine,” “This is my beloved, my husband, my brother, my friend.”
“Where your treasure is there will your heart will be also.”
The key of David has been put into our hands by faith and we have enjoyment even now of the fat things full of marrow and the wines on the lees well-refined, which the Lord has prepared for them that love Him. At this moment, we know we are justified. We know we are adopted into the family of God. We know we have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Savior. We know we have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but do we truly experience His love? Do we feel that love in the goodness and mercies of life?
If you are depressed, sad, or disillusioned, you are not walking in the tender mercies of Faith which produce love. The Lord’s mercies are new every morning. Every day we are receiving providential, preserving, restoring, instructive mercies. Faith tells you that the LORD is good and He has the whole universe securely in his hands. He holds the hearts of kings. He has set the times and seasons. He chose you and called you to Himself. Faith proves to us that the LORD is good and all things work together for good to those that love Him. If things do not appear to be working together for your good, then perhaps that is God’s “No,” redirecting to the path of life of His Perfect Love. However, even the path of his Perfect Will has Faith challenges which will help us to grow Faith which will produce more Love.
Perfect love casts out all fear, because fear has torment. Where there is faith, there is no place for fear. Love trusts the Beloved completely. There is no room for jealousy. We, of course, cannot put that kind of trust in carnal love. Love which trusts has not learned to be afraid. A child should be able to put that trust in both father and mother. We are God’s children.
I don’t understand the gift of Love I have been given and will have much to learn as I walk forward. However, this I know, I will be a better lover to My Lord and Savior and a better lover to those to whom I am sent. This love is not to be the syrupy “Woke” definition. It is not to be a door-mat or a victim. How do I know this? None of those manifestations of so-called love are ever from God. “Love is strong...the coals thereof are coals of fire, which has a most vehement flame” (So. 8:6).
1 Ti. 1:14: The grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason, I obtained mercy…
