THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM

Ephesians 1:17: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him… (18b) that you may know what the hope of his calling is, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
Isaiah 11:2: The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of God.
On March 20, 2000, the Lord spoke to me in the night, “Carolyn there are three levels of My Wisdom.” In the dream, I saw a vision of wisdom as a flowing spiritual river.
In the vision, the image of the river was on a book cover on which was written in the top left corner in large letters, Gift of Wisdom; flowing from the top right corner in a large circle around the letters SPIRIT was a stream of the Holy Spirit. Underneath that in the left corner is “And Life.”
Prov. 8:35: And whoever finds me (wisdom) finds life and shall obtain favor of the Lord.
As I pondered and prayed before the Lord the three levels of God’s wisdom, I considered the following:
1. The Spirit of Wisdom revealed to Solomon – 2 Chron. 1:11-12: God said to Solomon, “because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of your enemies, neither have you asked long life (nepes); but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto you; and I will give you riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall there any after you have the like.
2. THE MYSTERY OF WISDOM, the revelation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord of Glory…The wisdom which the Holy Spirit teaches in comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Co. 2:7: We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world to our glory. The wisdom of God is supreme intelligence and not the wisdom which belongs to men. Christ is the wisdom of God (Prov. 8). The wisdom from above is Christ’s wisdom.
3. The Wisdom of God/MANIFOLD WISDOM: To the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God (Eph. 3:10). Ps. 104:24: O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your riches.
Luke 11:49: Therefore, also said the wisdom of God, “I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute.”
The wisdom of God speaks.
There is also, Word of Wisdom, a gift, of the Holy Spirit. This is an unearned and supernatural impartation of God’s wisdom by grace to meet a particular need, answer a particular challenge, or utilize a particular word of knowledge. This works with Word of Knowledge.
1 Co. 12:8: For to one is given by The Spirit the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.
Ecc. 2:26: For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner he gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God.
The Knowing Ministry of 1 Co. 13:12… that we shall know even as we are known can be a three-fold revelation of Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, and Discernment of Spirits. These are a portion or fragment of God’s all-knowing (omniscience). “Jesus knew all things.”
Jn. 13:3: Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God.
Matthew 11:27: All things have been delivered to Me by My Father.
I also considered the three levels of “God’s Wisdom,” not earthly wisdom to be:
1st day – Wisdom of the Word of God; water baptism; born again.
2nd day – Baptism of the Holy Spirit with gifts given by the Holy Spirit inclusive of Gift of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, and Discerning of Spirits; plus “Hakma” Spirit of wisdom which gives special skills, in administration, prudence, ethical, artisans, etc. Witty inventions is attributed to the supernatural wisdom (hakma) given to Bezaleel in Exodus 35: 30-35. He was given wisdom to carve stones, gold, silver, and wood.
3rd day – The Wisdom of God.
Job. 11:6-9: That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! For they would double your prudence… Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven --- what can you do? Deeper than Sheol --- what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea…
So, like Zophar and Job, we can never be presumptuous to explain the depths or heights of the wisdom of God; but we press on toward the upward calling of those who seek after the LORD as he reveals in-part the mysteries even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
Wisdom is one of God’s rivers into the Glory of God. In my vision there was a beautiful spiritual river of wisdom flowing from heaven to earth.
The Lord has revealed to me through other visions that there is more than one spiritual river into the Glory of God, but the rivers will all come together and flow as one River, the pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Rev. 22:1).
There are many streams of God’s river in Christ’s Church on earth and it has been my experience that like the rivers in the earth, there is turbulence when the rivers of the Ecclesia come together to flow as one. I have been given a vision of the river flowing from the City of God. The one I was shown was golden. The Lord gave me a vision of New Jerusalem. He spoke in the vision, “Carolyn, preach New Jerusalem as purity.”
The wisdom of God flows down from the heavenly places. Col. 2:3: In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
James 3: 17-18: The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
True wisdom will result in good conversation or the goodness of our conversation: no malice, envy, strife of tongues, criticism, negative words, vanity, pride, coarseness, or roughness. “Let no corrupt communication proceed from your mouths.” Out of good conversation will come good acts.
Isa. 50:4: The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. He wakes me morning by morning. He wakes my ear to hear as the learned.
Heaven’s wisdom speaks with words of light, life, and love. Words spoken from Heaven’s wisdom brings life to the hearer. This is the ministry of the peacemakers. I give no place to troublers who create drama, get into other people’s drama, and/or do not know how to seek peace. These are trouble creators, jealous and stirring strife.
Envy and wisdom cannot dwell together in the same heart after which comes confusion and every evil work (3:16).
The difference between men’s pretending to be wise and their being really so, and the wisdom which is from beneath and that which is from above is shown by a good life and it is marked by meekness.
Proverbs 8:6-12: Hear for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be the right thing. For my mouth shall speak truth, and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness, there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understands, and right to thee that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
Prudence in the book of Proverbs means “to be cunning, crafty, subtle” and is the ability to make wise choices.”
False wisdom is earthly, carnal, and UN-spiritual, of the devil. It belongs to earth rather than to heaven to natural man rather than the Spirit and to demons rather than to God.
1 Cor. 15:44: If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body… (46) The spiritual did not come first but the natural and after that the spiritual… Our Adam nature bears the likeness of the earthly nature, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from Heaven. Our spiritual man is created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness (Eph. 4:24).
True wisdom is therefore heavenly in its origin and it is first of all pure then peace loving.
“Jesus, the Pattern Son, is the “prince of peace,” the Benefactor of peace (Isa. 9:6). Our Lord is also the “King of Peace,” the Administrator of Peace. He is looking for those who will be kings and priests with Him, ministering His life and love.”
“AND LIFE”
Proverbs 8:35: For whoso finds me (wisdom) finds life and shall obtain favor of the LORD.
Ecc. 7:12b: The excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom gives life to them that have it.
The Greek word for life in Prov. 8:35 is “hay.” This is the walking around, breathing oxygen kind of life. “It is the living alive life of the creation, of vegetation, fresh water, animals, man, and reviving of the springtime. revival, living things.” This is the life of Genesis 1:20-31: Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Gen. 2:7. The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.
The Zoe (life) in the Gospel reveals the life of God. The first mention is Matthew 7:14: Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life (zoe), and few there be that find it.
1 Peter 3: 6-7: Abraham and Sarah through obedience… became heirs together of the grace of life (“Zoe”) …
The Greek word for life in 1 Peter 3: 7 is “zoe” the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God. Life real and genuine, active, and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ. After the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions and to last forever” (Strong’s). Eternal Life through the life (“Zoe”) of God in Christ Jesus.
Abraham and Sarah not only birthed the child of promise through whom the seed (Gal. 3:16) of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, would be born into the world, they also birthed “Zoe” the very life of God and became heirs together of the grace of life (“Zoe”).
John 10:10: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy I have come that they may have life (“Zoe”), and that they may have it more abundantly.
1 Jo. 1:2: (For the life (“zoe”) was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life (“zoe”) which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.)
In Galatians 4: 23-31, Paul uses the story of Sarah and Hagar as an allegory. Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. The woman represents two covenants. One covenant is from Mt. Sinai and bears children who are slaves. This is Hagar. Hagar stands for Mt. Sinai and corresponds to those who are under the law (religion), because she is in slavery with her children. New Jerusalem, Mt. Zion, Spiritual Israel, the Kingdom of God, the Jerusalem that is above is free. The allegory tells that it was the free woman (Sarah) who gave birth to a child according to the Spirit, while the Bondwoman (Hagar) gave birth to a child according to the flesh.
“Zion is where the Throne of God is eternally established and sure against all attacks of an enemy (Ps. 2:6; 87:5). Zion is the dwelling-place of God, where he is gloriously praised, where is doings are known. (Ps. 9:11; 74:2). Zion is the place where God’s most glorious praise is known because there the fullness of salvation is known (Ps. 9:11; 74:2; 76:21). Zion is the joy of the whole earth, experienced already by many, anticipated by others, travailed after by all (Ps. 48:2). Zion is the over-comer in the church. Zion is the perfection of beauty, out from which the light of God shines (Ps. 50:21). Zion is where the Lord is known in greatness. Zion is the 144,000; the Judah and Joseph company, the army of Joel; and the Priesthood of Melchisedec (Zadok). Zion is a governmental company of full-grown sons who have come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Zion is known, not traced out with a boundary.” (P.P.T.K.V.) Zion is experienced. Zion is a place of being in God.
The Prophet Isaiah describes the abundant blessings which God has bestowed upon Zion, the seed of Abraham and Sarah, the mother of not only the nation of Israel, but a mother of nations.
The supernatural impartation of life (“zoe”) restored Sarah’s beauty and youth. A description of her restoration is found in a fragment of Genesis 20 from one of the Dead Sea Scrolls (related to the king by the chief prince, (Horkahosh): (The Message of the Scrolls, Simon & Schuster, 1957):
“How… beautiful the look of her face… and how… fine is the hair of her head, how fair indeed are her eyes and how pleasing her nose and all the radiance of her face… how beautiful and how lovely all her whiteness… When the king heard the words of Horkanosh and the words of his two companions, for all three spoke as one man… He sent at once to bring her to him and he looked upon her and marveled at all her loveliness and took her to him to wife.”
Today, this “Mother of Nations,” of “Life Giving Faith” lives on, some four thousand plus years later, as the woman whose faith together with her husband brought the grace of life “zoe” from God through which the miraculous birth of the Prince of Life “zoe,” (Author of Life “zoe”), Jesus Christ was born by miraculous birth.
“Zoe” is the same Greek word used for the Book of Life; Water of Life; Tree of Life; Spirit of life; Crown of life; Word of life; Savior of life; promise of life; etc.
1 Jo. 5:12: He that has the Son has life, and he that has not the Son of God does not have life.
Psalm 73: 23-28: …You comfort me by your counsel; you draw me closer to you. You lead me with your secret wisdom. Following you brings me into your brightness and glory! Whom have I in heaven but you!
