THE GOLDEN GLORY

THE GOLDEN GLORY

Sunday, December 22, 2024, the Year of Our Lord

Pastor Carolyn Sissom

Mark 16: 17-20:  And these signs shall follow them that believe…and they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.  Amen.  “Signs and wonders are a natural result of the preaching of the gospel.  We should expect them to be there.  And we should not expect just one or two.  One miracle should lead to another miracle.  God wants to give us an increasing progression of the miraculous, until we come into the supernatural, the realm of the miraculous” (Ruth Ward Heflin-Golden Glory).

For many years, at our Christmas service, I have preached and corporately we have sought the Lord for a Christmas Miracle Service.  I always seek the Lord for how the Holy Spirit would have us flow in the Gift of Miracles.  Since I cannot perform a miracle, then it is the Holy Spirit who gives us this grace.

As is my custom, I had been praying about “Gift of Miracles” for the year 2024.  We have witnessed the Hand of God move supernaturally in our nation overturning our government which did not recognize or give place to the Lord’s Kingdom government.

Monday evening, at the moment I laid my head on the pillow, I heard, “minister on the Golden Glory.”  That would not have occurred to me.  The ministry of the Golden Glory is a sign and wonder with miracles following as the Lord Jesus directs.

Daniel 4:2:  I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me.

Job 37:22: NLT: So also, golden splendor comes from the mountain of God.  He is clothed in dazzling splendor.

Job. 37:22: NKJV: He comes from the north as golden splendor; With God in awesome majesty.

I immediately jumped out of my bed, went straight to the computer, sending an email committing to minister today on the Golden Glory.  I wanted to be sure I didn’t talk myself out of it the next morning. (Some more of willing to be of no-reputation.)

My Gifts are stronger in Gift of Faith, Knowing Ministry, Speaking Ministry, and Gifts of Healings through Gift of Faith.

Faith says that when we know something is from God, we can run straight forward into it.

I was involved in the Golden Glory Revival in 2000-2001 through the ministry of Prophetess Andrea (Blythe) McDougal.  Andrea “Andy” was ministering with Ruth Ward Heflin, Revivalist, and Senior Pastor of Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle.

The Golden Glory Revival or “Gold Dust” was very controversial in all the mainstream denominations as well as the Pentecostal denominations.

The last manifestation we had at Eastgate Church was in September 2017 through the ministry of Apostle Clay Nash.  He carries a heavy presence of the golden splendor which comes from the mountain of God.  That is also the last time I preached on the golden splendor.  Not for any negative reason, I just have not felt led to do so.

All spiritual ministry means a ministry that meets the needs of man through the anointing and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.  It is the gospel of the Kingdom in supernatural demonstration and power.  It is the Gospel in action.

I came into revelation of this sign and wonder through a dream and divine intervention of the LORD.

In the year 2000, I had been seeking the LORD on how He would have me teach Gift of Miracles in a Bible Study I was teaching in Katy, TX. This was prior to my starting the church in TX.  On Friday, April 28,  2000, I received in the mail a letter from my friends, Barney and Joanne Fuller along with the book, “Golden Glory” by Ruth Ward Heflin.  Like many Christians during that season, Joanne and I had discussed the “gold dust phenomenon” on their last visit to Katy.  We were both reserving our judgment of the integrity of this manifestation of God’s glory.   (Mt. 7:22; 2 Th. 2: 10-12; Rev. 13:14; Rev. 19:20; Mt. 24:24).

The following day Don and I left for Los Angeles.  I took the book along to read.  I knew the LORD had put it in my hands to prepare me to teach gift of miracles.  As I read, I knew I was reading a book which was bearing witness to the power and glory of God.

We arrived in L. A. on Sunday night.  I had a dream about this sign and wonder:

DREAM:

“My friend, Eloise, was standing in a Christian bookstore with her niece making a purchase of the book, Golden Glory.”  She had on a gold robe.  Both she and her niece had red/gold hair; and golden oil (Zech, 4:12) was flowing from Eloise’s hands.  The song, O My Glory, Glory, Glory, That’s My Story was being sung in the dream.  I awoke siting up in bed.  The room was full of golden angels and they were singing the song.  I awoke to the audible sound of the voices of the angels filling the room.  I felt Eloise would have the gift of miracles of golden glory operating in her life.

The Lord spoke to me that I would prophesy the golden glory, but I would not carry it.

After that, I ministered for a season with Andy’s ministry along with Brother Scott and his church, Sam and Billie Meeks from Picayune, Miss., and Pastor Harold Vincent of Abbeville, La.  It was through these meetings that I met Sue Avery who became an intercessor for Eastgate Church.

Paul wrote in Galatians 1:1: The gospel he preached came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. If you follow my teachings, you know I glean and quote from great men and women of God.  But before I teach or preach, I receive my revelation of what I am teaching direct from Jesus.

In 2017, through the ministry of the gift of the Holy Spirit via his servant, Clay Nash, the Apostolic anointing of miracles, prophecy, inner healing, financial and marital restoration, activation of ministry, etc. were released in the meetings. This was shortly after the Harvey Storm which devastated much of West Houston/Katy, TX.  At that meeting, Brother Nash prophesied that we would build another church; that a businessman would help me; that it would be his sacrifice, not mine.  That man is Tom Terlep.  The church has been built.  The building is a miracle from the Hand of God.

1 Cor. 2 4-5: My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power; that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power (dunamis) of God.

The demonstration of the Holy Spirit is a “Doing” and a “Practicing” of that which we teach.

A “Doing” ministry utilizes the three doing or power manifestations of the Holy Spirit; namely, Faith, the Workings of Miracles, and the Gifts of Healings. (1 Cor. 12: 8-10).

As previously stated, I don’t remember preaching on the Golden Glory since 2017.   That is why it came as a surprise to me that I was instructed to preach “prophesy” the Golden Glory today.

It is right that we should decree the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me. (Dan. 4:2).  In this case, not only me, but for this congregation who has stayed faithful to the call and commission of the Lord God.

I have again been instructed to prophesy the golden splendor and prophesy the Gift of Miracles, signs and wonders in this place which was prophesied under that anointing by Apostle Nash.  He has suffered much persecution and rejection because of carrying the glory.  Perhaps that is why the LORD did not choose me to carry it.  The persecution and rejection may have been more than I could bear.

Gift of Miracles is most often manifested through the Office of the Apostle and the Evangelist.  It is also a separate body ministry described in 1 Cor. 12:29 as Workers of Miracles.  We are told to earnestly desire this gift (1 Co. 12:31) and to not neglect the gift.  It can be imparted by grace through prophecy and laying on of hands (1 Ti. 4:14).  The Evangelist is the gatherer in the 5-fold ministry.  Gift of Miracles gathers the people, raises their faith level, and then God meets them.  The Apostle governs.  As we are now experiencing the restoration of the apostolic power to the church, we will continue to experience an increase in miracles, signs, and wonders.  The stumbling block of those in the flesh will be if they use the Gift for fame or gain.  Through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people…believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women. (Act. 5: 12-14).

Hebrews 11:6:  Without faith it is impossible to please God; for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1.     Faith is a spiritual force.  God is a spirit.  He is a faith God who is only pleased by faith.

The Ecclesia will never get so full of faith or become so mature that we no longer require miracles.  Miracles are a part of the blessedness of the Kingdom of God.  Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you, by miracles, signs and wonders, which God did by him in the midst of you, and you yourselves know this. (Acts 2:22).  Jesus said we will do even greater works.  This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”

To activate this gift according to 1 Ti. 4:24, we prophesy it  and move out in Faith.  The way to develop a healing ministry is by laying hands on the heads of many sick people.  Just find people who need a miracle and lay your hands on them and believe.  The only thing you have to lose is your reputation.

Daniel 4:2:  I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me. How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders!  His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

John 11:40:  Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?

Purposes of Miracles:

Reveal God:  Ex. 7:5; 9:29; Dt. 4:33; Ex. 7:17:  Thus says the Lord, in this you shall know that I am the Lord…

Produce faith in God: Ps. 106:8:  He saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

Produce Fear of God: 1 SA. 12:17-18; Da. 6:20

Encourage obedience: Ex. 19:4; Dt. 29:5; Ps. 78:10

Glorify God:  Lk. 5:25; Jn. 11:4:  Jesus said, this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be thereby glorified.

Testify of Jesus: Mt. 11:3; Jn. 2:11; Heb. 2:4: God also bearing them (the apostles) witness (of Jesus) both with signs and wonders, and with divers’ miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost according to his own will.

Glorify Jesus: Act. 3:16:  Faith in His name…

Testify to God’s Servants: Ex. 4:2; Zech. 2:9; Acts 2:22

Preserve the righteous: Da. 3:28

Changed wicked purposes:  Ex. 3:19

John 14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Scripture from K.J.V.; I entered into the labors of Ruth Ward Heflin, Golden Glory;  The Tongue of the Learned by: K. J. Varner with J. L. I am adding the lyrics to the song O MY Glory because I heard golden angels sing the chorus.

LYRICS TO THE SONG: O MY GLORY!!!!

Charlie was a man about 69; he went to our church back in the Georgia pines.

He lost his wife and his kids were gone but every Sunday night after the special song.

The preacher’ d ask the people to testify Charlie’d stand up with a gleam in his eye.

He never was a man of very many words, most of the time all that we heard was.

Chorus

O my glory, glory, glory that was all that he said that was his story

O my glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, o my!

Verse

Well, he looked kinda funny with that big old grin.

I said “hey, hey momma what’s the matter with him.”

She pulled me up close and then she took my hand.

She said someday, baby you will understand.

Sunday after Sunday during prayer meetin’ night

Charlie’d stand up when the feelin’ was right,

He’d raise both his hands and he’d start to cry,

Then he’d open up and testify…and he’d say,

Chorus

O my, glory, glory, glory that was all that he said that was his story

O my, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, o my

Verse

Many years later I went back to see if that little country church was how it used to be,

Momma and daddy and Charlie were gone.

But when the preacher got up after the special song

Something very strange began to happen to me,

I was shakin’ all over I was weak in the knees

I stood there cryin’ and I tried to explain

But Charlie’s words were all I could say and I said

Chorus

O my glory glory glory that was all I could say that was my story

O my glory glory glory glory, glory, glory o my

O my glory, glory, glory that was all I could say that was my story

O my glory, glory, glory glory, glory, glory

O my glory, glory, glory that was all I could say that was my story

O my, glory, glory, glory glory, glory, glory o my

O my glory, glory, glory that was all I could say that was my story

O my glory, glory, glory glory, glory, glory o my

Glory glory glory oh my! That’s My Story
