THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT
THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT
(Isa. 11:1-2; Eph. 1:17-19; Rev. 4:5)

Pastor Carolyn Sissom
Through the ministry of Revivalist Keith Miller, this weekend we received a visitation of the Holy Spirit of Might. Brother Keith is apostolic, a prophet, a teacher, an evangelist, and a teacher; but I have for many years given him the title of Revivalist. He identified himself as a Revivalist this weekend while preaching. There is a supernatural power of “might” and “fire” that burns within him that is only carried in the fire of revival and by the Lamps of Fire.
Each of the Seven Spirits of God are Lamps of Fire.
Rev. 4:5: There were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.
Isa. 11:1-4: There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him. The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might. The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD.
Pastor Stephen George gave a prophecy of a fire. “Fire, fire, fire, fire from the presence of the LORD. Burn, burn, burn. This fire will burn up the dross and it’s coming in a powerful way to clean up, to purify, to heal, to deliver, fire of Revival.”
Prophetess Judy Jones later said she smelled incense burning when Pastor George gave that prophecy.
“Incense is always smelled whenever the fire of God comes because God’s fire never comes with the worldly foul odor.” (Stephen George, Pastor to the Nations).
“The God who fills us is a consuming fire. When He comes to us in fire, His purpose is to make us the clean vessels He wants us to be in the House of God. This mighty baptism has nothing to do with a fiery preacher who can stir up the emotions of the people, and get them excited.
Isaiah prophesied that God would wash away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purge the blood of Jerusalem by the Spirit of Judgment, and by the Spirit of Burning (Isa. 4:4). When this happens, His glory returns to our assemblies. The same fire that consumes the filth of Zion will be the Light and the Glory that will dispel the darkness. The LORD shall create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flame of fire by night. The fire that consumes is only to consume the dross from our hearts, and the darkness from our minds… that we might henceforth be motivated by right desires and impulses, and clearly see the way in which God would have us walk. The fire of God had almost been extinguished in our midst because as a church we have not walked in the Light that God has shone forth in our midst” (George Warnock – Seven Lamps of Fire).
1. Spirit of Might = “force, valor, victory; mastery, might (act, power), power, strength;” powerful; warrior, tyrant, champion, Chief, excel, giant, mighty man, strong man, valiant man; to be strong; to prevail, act insolently; exceed, confirm be great or mighty, mighty deeds of God.”
Eph. 6:10: Finally my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of His Might.
Brother Keith preached under the power of the Spirit of Might, with the Spirit of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, accompanied by the Lamps of Fire. He revealed that our FAITH must be accompanied by the Spirit of Might for us to see the power and might of God move in our midst in miracles, signs, and wonders… in revival.
I have preached a “book” (never published) on the Seven Spirits of God from revelation and study, identifying messages with the seven lamps of fire. But this was the first time I experienced and identified the visitation of the Seven Spirits manifesting in Lamps of Fire. I have for several years identified Brother Keith’s anointing with the Spirit of Might. He also preached among other things on the Spirit of Wisdom:
“Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore, get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding: (Prov. 4:7). It is good if we have a heart this is searching for wisdom.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians that they would come into a higher realms of Wisdom and Revelation.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of Him; the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead…(Eph. 1:17-20)
As we are watching the early days of Revival and hope and long for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, We cry for the power and might of God to activate the precious gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are as the flower on the vine. But when the petals begin to fall off, we know it is time for the fruit to begin to form. If the Church continues to pursue the gifts rather than the Giver, those gifts will dry up. We must have the power, fire, and light of the Seven Spirits of God from the Seven Lamps of Fire.
This anointing rested upon Jesus, the Head of the church; it will also come upon His body, the church! These seven Spirits are the One Spirit of Eph. 4:4. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling.
The seven spirits of God are Lamps of Fire before the throne of God in New Jerusalem and can be identified with the golden candlestick in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle of Moses which had seven lamps of fire and are a type and shadow of the heavenly Tabernacle. Rev. 1-5 reveals the seven horns, which speaks of complete or all power. The seven eyes speak of complete understanding or all-seeing. We can compare this with the seven colors of the rainbow, which was about the throne, and then compare the multi-colored coat of Joseph. Then the best robe of the prodigal in Luke 15. These principles speak of rulership, government. And the throne of God.
Friday evening, Bro. Keith preached on the “Latter Rain of the Holy Spirit.” Eastgate Church is in that River. Not because I studied it or visited those who were flowing in it, but because I was visited with that flow of the Spirit 40 years ago. The Latter Rain movement is not identified by a denomination, but by the blessing of a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit to those who hunger and thirst for more of God.
At the beginning of the last century, there was a lot of the fire of God in the earlier movement of Pentecost. But the prophetic movement in the middle of the century was primarily the blessing of rain that God poured out on the dry ground. The rain falls on God’s field---watering and blessing whatever seed is there in the ground---whether it be seed of wheat, or of tares… or multitudes of other kinds of weeds. God’s intention is to water His Garden, and He wants to dig out those injurious weeds that grow in our lives. But according to the parable of the wheat and the tares, God said we must leave it up to Him, and He will deal with it at Harvest time, lest we root out some of the good wheat in our ignorance.
The Lord knows them that are His, and there will yet be a mighty work of separation between the wheat and the tares. The tares will be separated out before the wheat. In the meantime, the tares are partaking of the rains of the Spirit, along with the wheat. But the rains of blessing will not change the nature of the seeds that are planted.
If it is true, that we are in the early days of Harvest, God help us all by Your grace, to submit ourselves to those burning, cleansing flames of God, lest our good works go up in smoke in the day that shall be revealed in fire.
If I am right, we received a visitation, Saturday, October 4, 2025, of the Spirit of Might, which is the Lamp of Fire.
God continues to pour out His rain from heaven on His church. The Devil continues to sow tares in the same fields. If you are going to a church looking for that pure working of God in the earth--- until the day when the Seven Lamps of fire burn the weeds and chaff and purge away the Spirit of Judgment by the Spirit of burning, we must continue to cry out for a pure working of God in the earth, and for this mighty baptism of fire. For God Himself rest in His people in righteousness which shines forth as brightness. His salvation is as a lamp that burns.
Isa. 4:2: In that day shall the Branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
LAMPS OF FIRE – Dream given to Carolyn Sissom
June 21, 2021
I had a dream in the night:
“I stepped into a “court.” I knew the throne of God was there, but I could not see Him. There was darkness all around except for four lamps of fire. These lamps of fire were not the golden candle sticks, but poles with what would best be described as bowls attached to the top. From the bowls came flames of fire. These were burning bright. I knew I was standing before God and steadied myself with one step back. I was still standing within the court and surrounded by the lamps of fire. I was never frightened only taking it all in.” End of dream.
There are four scriptures which apply to the Lamps of Fire separate from the candlestick.
(I want to add that I have been taken to the pavilion of darkness before the throne of God in another vision 2Sam.22:12; Ps. 18:9; Ps. 18:11. In that place, I saw seven stars.) Therefore, I conclude this vision was a different “realm” or “court” before the throne.
Since there were four lamps of fire, I will first identify the vision with Eze. 1:13: As for the likeness of the four living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.” (I only saw the four lamps of fire burning bright.)
Daniel 10:6: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
Rev. 4:5: Out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings, and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
As for the “court,” there are multiple courts adjacent to the inner court in Ezekiel’s Temple which is the Glory of the Gospel church. This was not the court room of Heaven. This was different.
Psa. 18:9: He bowed the heavens also, and came down and darkness was under his feet.
