Jude 1:14: Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied…
Gen. 5:24: Enoch walked with God; and he was not; for God took him.
Heb. 11:5: By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found because God had taken him; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
There are two men in the Bible who are known to have never experienced death. While much is known about the prophet Elijah, the prophet Enoch has been intentionally overlooked and suppressed.
There is a “WOW’ verse in Enoch 89:52 about Elijah. By prophetic vision, Enoch saw the time of Elijah when Israel and Judah turned away from the LORD and refused to listen to the prophets. “One of them (prophets) was saved and was not killed (Elijah) and sped away and cried aloud over the sheep (Israelites), and they sought to kill him, but the Lord of the sheep saved it from the sheep (Israelites), and brought him up to me (Enoch), and caused it to dwell there.” This reveals that Enoch and Elijah – the two translated prophets – now dwell together. While this may be expected in hindsight, Enoch saw it in a dream thousands of years before it happened.
In 2015, Sandra and I were at a Prophetic Summitt at Joy Mountain. There was a lively debate among the prophets over the two witnesses of Revelation 11:3. I think this is a good argument for Elijah and Enoch.
Enoch “walked with God” for 300 years.
Gen. 5:18-24: Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So, all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
The first mention in Genesis 4:17 and 18 is not the prophet Enoch. That Enoch descended from Cain and built a city named Enoch. The city is never mentioned again in the bible and its location is unknown.
Enoch’s next mention is in the Book of 1 Chronicles, the family of Adam from Seth to Abraham. 1 Ch. 1:1-3: Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech., identifying him with Jude 1:14 as the seventh from Adam.
Enoch 93:3: “And Enoch began to recount from the books and said, ‘I was born the seventh in the first week, while there was still judgment and righteousness.’
In Enoch 93, he begins to name various weeks. Each one represents a specific era or prophetic timeline. He was born into the first prophetic timeline. His prophecy of weeks representing prophetic eras concludes with a 10th week in perfect synchrony with the book of Revelation. Enoch 93:15: “The first heaven will depart and pass away, and a new heaven will appear, and all the powers of heaven will shine forever with seven times the light.” Rev. 21:1: Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
Next is Luke 3:37-38. Enoch is in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Lamech was the son of Methuselah. Methuselah was the son of Enoch. Enoch was the son of Jared. Jared was the son of Mahalalel. Mahalalel was the son of Kenan. Kenan was the son of Enosh. Enosh was the son of Seth. Seth was the son of Adam. Adam was the son of God. (N.L.T.)
Enoch’s next mention is Hebrews 11:5. The book of Hebrews makes it unmistakably clear that Enoch was taken up to heaven without experiencing death.
Finally, Enoch is quoted in the book of Jude in verse 14:
Jude 1:14: And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deed which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Jude is saying Enoch prophesied about “these” described in Jude 10-13: But these speak evil of those things which they do not know; but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gainsaying of Korah. These are spots in your love feasts, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear; clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots. Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.”
These corrupt and pollute the natural realm and reject the spiritual realms of governmental power and repeatedly scoff at heavenly glories.
The phrase “these dreamers” (Jude 8) may suggest that these men claimed their actions were justified by dreams or visions they had received. We certainly believe in the “Seer” gifts of dreams and visions. However, if dreams and visions do not align with the Word of God and are confirmed by at least three witnesses, we are not to use these to guide our lives.
With their arrogance, Jude contrasts the behavior of the archangel Michael when challenging Satan himself: Michael would not speak arrogantly even to the devil.
Attention is drawn to the licentious behavior of the pseudo-Christians. They are identified with Cain, by ungodly motives and avarice like Balaam, and by rebellion against divine authority like Korah. Balaam’s error, too because of their greedy pursuit of financial gain. Such men are certainly blemishes, perhaps dangerous.
The term love feast denotes the fellowship meals of the early church, in the course of which the Lord’s supper was often celebrated. Evidently these men had permeated to the very center of Christian church fellowship, some of them probably gaining positions of leadership. Feed only themselves literally means shepherding themselves.
The metaphors are self-explanatory. Twice dead means first dead in sins and after professing conversion still dead to good works. The final metaphor, “wandering stars means meteors floating about without direction and guidance. “Clouds without water” do not carry or speak the true refreshing showers of truth. They are carried away by their passions and licentiousness. Trees: that are diseased and fruitless. Raging waves of the sea; foaming out the wickedness and shame like a troubled sea.
The fact that both Luke and Jude list Enoch as the seventh from Adam should be very important to the canon of Scripture. Enoch stands out as the first prophet in Scripture, the only man described as having “walked with God’ for hundreds of years, and the first to be taken into heaven without experiencing death. Enoch is a significant figure. There is no one else in the bible quite like him. He stands alone in significance just as Jeremiah, Isaiah, David, Paul, Peter, John, etc.
Johnny Enlow in his commentary Book on Enoch states there are three books of Enoch. Enoch 1, 2 and 3. His persuasion is that 1 Enoch to be the only legitimate book of Enoch. This perspective comes from his personal extensive research and careful consideration. Enoch 1 is recognized as canonical scripture by many Ethiopian Christian churches, where it has been considered valid for centuries. In contrast, 2 Enoch and 3 Enoch are not accepted as canonical by these churches.
Jesus quoted Enoch 15:7 as Scripture.
Matthew 22:29-30: Jesus answered and said to them, “you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.”
The Sadducees who didn’t believe in the resurrection had a trick question to ask Jesus. They presented Jesus with a hypothetical scenario involving a woman who had married seven brothers sequentially, as each older brother died, and the next one was required to marry her. When Jesus responded, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures,” It is not found in any of the 66 books of the bible. It does appear in Enoch 15:6-7: But you from the beginning were made spiritual, possessing a life which is eternal, and not subject to death forever. Therefore, I made not wives for you, because being spiritual, your dwelling is in heaven.
This was God’s judgment in reproof to the Watchers when they asked permission to marry and have children. 14:4: From this time forward, never shall you ascend into heaven. He has said, that on the earth, He will bind you, as long as the world endures.
The Dead Sea Scrolls and fragments, dating back nearly 2000 years, revealed that the book of Enoch was significant during Jesus’ time, which explains why he referred to it as Scripture.
The Book of Enoch was widely quoted as Scripture by the early church fathers such as Tertullian, Origen, Bishop Clement. Tertullian believed the book of Enoch was inspired by God and that it was preserved by Noah in the ark.
Interest in the Book of Enoch has surged in our time.
Tertullian upheld the book of Enoch as authoritative and noted that it had been rejected by the Jews. One reason scholars believe it was excluded is because 1 Enoch prominently features the title “Son of Man” --- a term that Jesus later used for himself and one that strongly aligns with messianic expectations. If it had been included in the canon, 1 Enoch might be considered one of the clearest and fullest prophetic portrayals of the Messiah in all ancient Jewish literature, especially regarding Jesus’ second coming.
Critics claimed that 1 Enoch was written after the time of Christ. However, that assumption was overturned with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which included Aramaic fragments of 1 Enoch dated as early as 200-300 years before Jesus’ birth.
Enoch knew his book would be suppressed. Enoch 104: 10-13: Now I know this mystery, that sinners will alter and pervert the words of righteousness in many ways, and will speak wicked words, and lie, and practice great deceit, and write books concerning their words. When they write down all my words truthfully in their languages, and do not change or omit any of my words but write them down truthfully---all that I first testified concerning them. then I know another mystery, tht books will be given to the righteous and the wise to produce joy, righteousness, and much wisdom.”
In Enoch 1:2, he says that his writings are primarily for a “remote generation” who would need and apply his writings. Enlow states “we are that remote generation.”
During the time of Jared, Enoch’s father, a group of 200 angels was sent by God to serve as guardians over humanity. These angels are known as Watchers.
Genesis 6:1-8: Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and he was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made the, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Enoch 6:1-6: “It came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born to them beautiful and fair daughters. The angels, the sons of heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another, ‘come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and have children with them.’ 3-4 And Semjaza, who was their leader, said to them, ‘I fear you will not agree to do this deed, and I alone will have to pay the penalty of this great sin.’ They all answered him and said, ‘Let all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual curses so we will not abandon this plan but follow through.’ They all swore together and bound themselves by mutual curses. They were two hundred in number, who descended in the days of Jared, on the top of Mount Hermon. They called it Mount Herman because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual curses on it.”
Enoch 7:1-4: “All of them together (the Watcher angels went and took wives for themselves, each choosing one for himself. They had sex with them and defiled themselves with them. they taught them charms and spells, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. The women became pregnant and gave birth to large giants whose height was three thousand ells. The giants consumed all the work and toil of men. When men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.”
Angels were created by God in a sexless state and were not designed for procreation, lacking procreative organs. However, both the Bible (Heb. 13:2) and the Book of Enoch indicate that angels can assume various forms and sizes, potentially at will.
The devil is a master counterfeiter; he cannot create anything original, but can only corrupt and distort what already exists. Like Satan, the Watchers deluded themselves into believing they had become godlike, but all they succeeded in doing was creating that which kills, steals, and destroys. They produced giants, monsters, and hybrid creatures that are distorted and unnatural. While they could produce something, they could not truly create. Only our Creator and those made in His image can create.
From the Book of Enoch, there are 200 Watchers on the Earth. They have been reduced to spirits, but spirits that can take various form. We are told explicitly they will fight against humans and create many problems until their final end. Enoch tells us that the Watchers are “bound on earth” with certain restrictions, but this does not prevent misguided or malevolent humans from seeking them out. The Nephilim, simply put, are the offspring of the Watcher angels and human women.
Genesis 6:4: The Nephilim were on the earth in those days---and also afterward---when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes (giants) of old, men of renown.

There is one particular verse in 1 Enoch that I identify as U.F.O.’s:
80:7-8: The whole order of the stars will be hidden from the sinners, and the thoughts of those on earth will err concerning them, and they will be altered from all their ways and believe them to be gods. Evil will be multiplied on them and punishment will come on them so as to destroy all.”
THE SPIRITS OF THE NEPHILIM

(Genesis 6: 1-4)
Gen. 6: 4: There were giants in the earth in those days.
NEPHIL: (Hebrew) ( #5303, 5307): “a feller, bully, tyrant or giant; the fallen ones; wonderful, strong, mighty; fallers, apostates who are fallen from true religion, and falling on men with violence and rapine, and causing them to fall; strong and robust in body, and leaders of others.” “Nephilim” may be correct in referring to a race or nation.
Numbers 13:33: There we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
The NEPHILIM in the earth today are those given over to SEDUCING SPIRITS, whose purpose it is to try to make it impossible for the Lord Jesus to have a people joined to Him in His inheritance.
The earth is filled with POLITICAL NEPHILIM; VIOLENT WARING NEPHILIM; ECONOMIC NEPHILIM; SEXUAL UNCLEAN NEPHILIM; Principalities and Powers over nations; AND RELIGIOUS NEPHILIM. All of these demonic Giants have evil intelligence. With unabated zeal these are marching across the land in the flurry of the last days of the present world system.
11 Cor. 11:13-14: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Daniel 11:13: …the robbers of your people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.”
The bible mentions giants in many places, using the Hebrew word, “Rapha” (#7497) which means “invigorating, a giant”. Another word for Giant is “Gibbor” (#1368) and means powerful, warrior, tyrant, champion, giant, mighty man, strong man, valiant man.”
The Bible also speaks of the Raphaim, Zamzummims and Emims as a race of evil giants (Deut. 2:11; Deut. 2:20).
This is not just a discussion of Bible tidbits that cause endless debates. This has a significant principle having to do with the Kingdom of God. As we go to the “law of first mention,” they are mentioned when God was getting ready to change the order and judge the world by the flood. They are next mentioned when Israel was as the threshold of moving into the land of promise. It was the fear of the giants that kept them out.
One of the assignments of the giants of terror is to cause Christians to faint, be intimidated and be terrified so that we will fall away from the faith.
In our recent study of the last seven years of the life of the Apostle Paul, the infant church was persecuted by the demonic powers of the giant Roman Empire.
1 Timothy 1: 18-20: This charge I commit to you according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you by them might war a good warfare; holding faith and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck. Of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.
I am convinced as we are watching the formation of the revised Roman Empire under the spirit of antichrist, we must encourage one another to not shipwreck our faith in the face of terror and persecution. Many are intimidated today by the threats of the loss of our first amendment rights and have succumbed to these threats--- thus giving power to those who are trying to intimidate us.
The prophetic cry of the 2014 conference was “Prepare for War”. The prophetic warning of the 2015 conference was “War”. “We are at war”. “The war is in our midst, in our churches, theaters, public places, against our military, abuse of our children, killing of babies, the sanctity of God given laws, the sanctity of marriage, persecution for preaching the uncompromised Word of God. The list goes on and on.
I will speak more on these things in the future. Today let us again turn our attention to the spirits of the Nephilim.
Gen. 6:2-4: The sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose…there were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
I am not qualified to debate as to who the sons of God were in verse 2. We must keep the perspective that the Word of God says, “Eve is the mother of all living.” However, verse 4 in King James clearly states, “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men.”
Jude 6: Fallen Angels: And the angels who kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Then we face the argument that angels cannot marry. Matt. 9:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. However, the Nephilim were not in heaven, but on earth.
Whichever position you choose until the Lord reveals a better one, is up to you. I am persuaded these are demonic beings which have and do enter into evil men. This has New Testament significance because the Lord aligns the circumstances prior to the flood with the second coming. Matthew 24: 36-42: but of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so, shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The daughters of men were the daughters of Adam.
Satan ever desires to corrupt the Seed of the Woman that would crush him and bruise his head (Gen. 3:15).
As we follow the line of thought that the Nephilim are fallen angels, it is interesting to note in Jude 6, that the phrase “first estate” (arche) is a governmental term. Again, I am pointing out that this spirit has embedded itself in the world political systems of this present world through lust, corruption, seduction and wickedness of men.
The NEPHILIM were monsters of iniquity, being superhuman in size and character. (Compare the demon spirits of Greek mythology.) Like now as then, Satan desires to bring about a SPIRITUAL CORRUPTION aimed at those who are joined to the Lord Jesus, that HOLY SEED whom he hates and fears.
Particularly susceptible are women who are not under the covering of the Lord Jesus Christ and his governmental covering. Just as the woman whom God gave Adam sinned to submit to Satan, and just as the daughters of Adam followed the way of their mother, so will be those who refuse to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savioir in the last days, and thereby come under a corrupting influence.
Those who succumb to this corruption will at first exalt their own headship above the government of Christ. 11 Thess. 2:4: who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. This we know to be the spirit of anti-Christ at work in the earth.
This is why we study the lives and ministries of those famous giant-killers like David and Caleb. We learn there are two scriptural ways of killing the giants: (Both were men of Judah)
(1) Prophesy, run toward him, knock him down and cut his head off with his own sword (1 Sam. 17). This is another reason why the devil tries to keep prophesy out of the church.
(2) Eat him and swallow him. Num. 14:9: Do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us; their defense has departed from them, and the Lord is with us; fear them not (“they are bread for us”) (Numbers 13-14).
It is significant that David (a type of Jesus Christ) killed Goliath (a type of Satan, the champion); and that David’s mighty men destroyed the giant’s sons (11 Sam. 21: 18-22); 2 Chron. 20:4-8.). It is significant that there were four sons of the giant, for the Son of Satan in his corporate strength will be universal, attempting to defile the creation.
Note in Gen. 6:3b: The Lord still blessed man with a lifespan of 120 years. The word for “strive” means to judge, contend, and plead.
THE WICKEDNESS OF MAN
Genesis 6:5-9
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart, and the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repented me that I have made them.
This is significant according to the statement of Jesus in Matthew 24: 36-43. We are living in the same kind of day.
We are living in a day when:
(1) The wickedness (lewdness, moral depravity, lawlessness) of man is great (multiplying) in the earth.
(2) Every imagination of the thoughts of his heart is only evil continually (literally, all-the-day).
(3) It repents the Lord that he has made man.
(4) God has purposed to destroy the wicked.
(5) The earth is corrupt.
(6) The earth is filled with violence (#2555- “wrong, unjust gain; damage, cruelty, injustice, violation, oppression, unrighteousness”)
(7) All flesh except those like Noah and his family has corrupted the way of God (Christianity) upon the earth.
